Vulcan's Poker is a Texas Hold'em client that Vulcan Forged built as a satellite of its own ecosystem rather than as a standalone card room. It runs on Elysium, the studio's chain, ships as a free Windows download, and uses XP — the ecosystem's token — plus NFT items as the layer that separates it from any of the dozens of free poker apps already on a phone. That framing matters more than the poker: the game is essentially a retention tool for people who already hold Vulcan Forged assets.
What works is the base game. Hold'em rules are fixed and well understood, so there is no half-finished loop to grind through, and free entry means a curious player risks nothing but a download. The fantasy-styled table dressing is competent.
What does not work is everything around it. The title has sat in beta for a long stretch, and a poker room lives or dies on the player pool — thin tables mean long waits and shallow competition, and a small ecosystem cannot fix that with token rewards.
