Our verdict on AneeMate

AneeMate is not the pet-breeding collectible its listings often suggest. Built in Unreal Engine 5 by QORPO Game Studio, it is a free-to-play PvPvE extraction shooter: you play a child dropped onto the Hidden Islands, scavenge and craft through a roughly 30-minute session, fight rival players and hostile machines, and try to reach an extraction point before the clock runs out. The creatures — corrupted elemental beings you rescue and then fight alongside — are combat companions with their own stats and abilities, not livestock to breed and flip.

The genuinely unusual part is the companion behaviour layer, which the studio drives with generative AI on Amazon's infrastructure so a creature's tactics drift toward how its owner actually plays. On paper that resists the meta-solving that flattens most companion systems; whether it reads as meaningful in a firefight is the open question. The blockchain side is deliberately optional: Genesis NFTs and the $QORPO token sit on BNB Chain for ownership and trading, but play does not require them.

Development has been slow and gated — NFT-holder testing in 2024, whitelisted pre-alpha in 2025, a co-op survival playtest announced for Q2 2026. It suits PC players who like extraction tension and are willing to wait; anyone expecting a finished creature-collector should look elsewhere.
