“Reckoning launches October 13, and it’s a big one: 87 new cards, four pack tiers, twelve variants in the wild, and the Squeaklings making another round,” the guide said.

The card pool

Reckoning spreads its cards evenly across the six domains. Death, Deception, Light, Magic, Nature and War get 12 cards each, and another 15 are Neutral.

By rarity, there are 27 Commons, 21 Rares, 21 Epics and 18 Legendaries. There are no Mythics in the set.

That’s a change from Age of Ascent, last October’s mini expansion. Its 24 cards came with six Mythic Variants, which were 1-of-1 Legendaries with unique art.

Four tiers, one new at the top

Sales run four weeks, from Oct. 13 through Nov. 10. Every pack holds six cards.

Booster packs cost $1.99 and lean toward Commons. Premium packs cost $19.99, contain only Rares and above, and guarantee an Epic and a Legendary. Shiny packs cost $199.99 and contain only Epics and Legendaries.

The new top tier is Mega Shiny, at $249.99. It has the same contents as a Shiny pack plus a guaranteed high-shine Legendary.

Recent sets topped out at three tiers. The Waking Plague, released June 16 with 46 cards, sold Regular, Premium and Shiny packs. Supply was capped at 20,000, 1,250 and 400 packs respectively. The Reckoning guide doesn’t list supply caps for any tier.

Variants by pack

The 12 alternate-art Legendary variants are tied to specific pack types.

Booster packs carry three: Harald Until Death, Rear Admiral Thibbs and Divya No Longer. Premium packs hold two, The Bishop and The Swollen Terror.

Shiny packs carry three more: Vesper Relentless Adjudicator, The Amorphous Mass and Ella Combat Painter. Mega Shiny has one exclusive, What Glorious Fortune.

Promos and discounts

The Squeaklings promo line is coming back. According to the guide, the six cards are “one per kid, appearing in Premium, Shiny, and Mega Shiny packs through the rest of 2026.” The Squeaklings also appeared in The Waking Plague’s Premium and Shiny packs.

Reckoning also adds a packable Legendary Promo. It’s the first promo of that kind available in all pack tiers.

Divine Tithings is staying too. The guide said players can “Burn existing cards for up to 35% off a single pack purchase.”

Background

Reckoning is the third expansion of 2026. Roots of Ruin came out Feb. 17 with 44 cards and introduced the Everborn tribe. The Waking Plague followed in June.

The release keeps the game’s October schedule. Tides of Fate launched in October 2023, Tower of Dread on Oct. 10, 2024, and Age of Ascent on Oct. 21, 2025.

In its March 2026 newsletter, the studio said design on the next expansion was locked. It said the full set had moved into system testing and balancing ahead of schedule.

Players don’t have to open the packs right away. “Reckoning packs are NFTs you can hold, trade, or open whenever you’re ready,” the guide said.
