New Zealand gets GTA 6 on November 18. Mexico doesn’t get it until 19 hours later. Same game, same week, wildly different mornings.
Rockstar Games has confirmed GTA 6 for release on November 19. What that date actually means for you depends entirely on where you’re standing.
Where the 19-hour gap comes from
The regional breakdown comes from a fan site that analysed PlayStation Store data across 15 regions to work out exact unlock times. That’s a third-party read of store listings, not a Rockstar schedule, so treat the numbers as an unverified report rather than an official timetable.
The pattern is the familiar one for staggered launches. Territories on the left side of the international date line go first, and New Zealand tops the list at 11:00 UTC on November 18. Technically a day early, if you want to be pedantic about it. Kiwis usually are.
The long end of the wait belongs to Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, where the game reportedly doesn’t unlock until 06:00 UTC on November 19.
The rest of the map, hour by hour
Most of continental Europe unlocks at 23:00 UTC on November 18, which is midnight CET. The UK comes in an hour behind that at 00:00 UTC on November 19, also midnight locally, which is the kind of coincidence that makes a rollout look tidier than it is.
Western Canada waits longer. Players there reportedly get access at 05:00 UTC on November 19.
India has to do a little math
India wasn’t one of the 15 regions with an individually reported unlock time. But going by the UK’s 00:00 UTC unlock on November 19 and India sitting at UTC+5:30, Indian players can expect the game to open up around 5:30 AM IST on November 19, assuming India follows the same global rollout window as Europe.
That assumption is doing real work in that sentence. It hasn’t been confirmed.
What Rockstar has actually said about India
Pricing, at least, is official. Rockstar has confirmed India pricing with pre-orders already live: Rs. 5,999 for the Standard Edition, which covers the full base game, and Rs. 7,499 for the Ultimate Edition, which adds exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits and additional storyline content.
Anyone who pre-orders or buys before November 20 also gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders throw in a free month of GTA+.
At launch the game is available in India exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC release date hasn’t been announced.
Xbox owners have the easier cheat
If you’re determined to play before your region opens, the report notes the platform difference matters a lot. On Xbox, temporarily switching your console’s region settings to New Zealand is a relatively simple way in.
On PlayStation, the same trick means creating an entirely new account tied to a local New Zealand payment method. Which is less a workaround and more a small administrative project. Your call whether 19 hours is worth opening a foreign payment method over.
