Pixels reopened the Neon Zone this week with a rebuilt layout, a new dance floor and a pool table attached to a reward pool the studio won’t itemize.
The zone kept its colors and general feel but was rebuilt from the floor up, Pixels said. The new layout is built for hanging out, with more room to gather and better flow between spaces.

Leaderboards and games work the same as before. Nothing changed there.
Wheel pricing goes flat
The spin cost is no longer dynamic. Each spin now runs 2,500 Stuff Stubs, and players can spin as many times as they want. Pixels called the feature the Vapourwheel in its announcement.
Prizes include temporary Gummy Auras in pink and red, Candy Skins and Gummy Bear outfits.
The pool table
The pool table’s reward pool holds a large number of items, and Pixels didn’t publish odds or a full drop list. “Grab a cue and find out,” the studio said.
Store restock
The 3rd Dimension Redemption Store took on new stock priced in Discovery Points. A Candy Pulse Beacon costs 20,000 points and lasts 30 days. A Jelly Bean Jar costs 5,000 points and also lasts 30 days.
New Candy Skins cover the Windmill, NFT Gate and Speck Gate, which lets players apply them to any Windmill on an NFT Land or to any land gate and make it “a little bit sweeter,” Pixels said.
A Candy Pathway decor item shipped with three arrangements viewable through the frame flipper. And the Giant Gummy Chest carries 42 slots, the most of any chest Pixels has released. More candy items and Neon Zone themed decor rounded out the restock.
Getting there
Pixels repeated its routing advice for players coming from a Land or a Speck: don’t teleport to Terravilla. Bookmark a Land that has an NZ portal, teleport there and click the portal.
The studio scheduled a gathering in the Neon Zone for Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 4 p.m. UTC, hosted by Luke, with a small energy boost in the zone. There’s no session the following week. The next one lands Sept. 10.
Background
Leon’s Neon Zone opened in August 2025 as an arcade district running on ZoneZ Tokens, with mini-games paying out Stuff Stubs redeemable for rewards.
Pixels has tuned the zone's economy repeatedly since. A December 2025 update cut ranked games per day from seven to five, moved the overall ranked leaderboard to a weekly cadence instead of every 48 hours and slowed Stuff Stub output, all in response to Stuff Stub inflation.
The VIP update on June 2 brought new Neon Zone prizes and moved $PIXEL rewards fully to Stacked. Pixels framed that shift as part of its long-term sustainability plan, aimed at rewarding players who actually show up and play.
Mines got its own rebalance, with the max bet updated and ZoneZ Tokens counting for 200 tokens instead of 100.
Pixels had flagged the closure a week earlier, telling players the Neon Zone was under construction and would reopen in a few days to a week. The same post noted Luke was back.
