The post didn’t give a launch date for the game or say anything about how it plays.

Five games in a few weeks

Rush Party belongs to a slate PlayZap laid out on Oct. 12. That day the studio said it was “accelerating on YouTube Playables” and named five new games set to launch in the next few weeks: Rush Party, Jungle Fury, Scrub Tycoon, Bus IO and AstroLock.

Jungle Fury got its own countdown first. In an earlier post, PlayZap said its trailer was dropping that day.

The studio hasn’t released launch windows for any of the five titles.

Traction claims

PlayZap said it recorded more than 500,000 gameplays in the last 30 days and a 60% jump in YouTube subscribers.

It also said it has passed 3 million app downloads and 25 million total gameplays. The 500,000-plus YouTube Playables plays came from just two games live on the platform, the company said.

Those figures come from PlayZap’s own posts. They haven’t been independently verified.

Route to Playables

PlayZap submitted its first game to YouTube Playables for review in July. Google had to approve the title before it could show up in the catalog, and at the time the studio didn’t name the game or give a timeline.

YouTube Playables began as an experiment in late 2023 and rolled out more widely a year later. Its catalog now holds more than 75 free games that run inside YouTube’s mobile app and desktop site with no separate install, across the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia.

Background

PlayZap runs skill-based tournaments in casual games such as solitaire and 8 ball pool, paying out rewards in PZP. The platform is built on Polygon and runs under the tagline “Free to Play. Skill to Earn.”

PZP has a maximum supply of 150 million tokens, with about 122.79 million in circulation and roughly 8,510 holders. The company has also announced a remodel of the token around a deflationary model it said is designed to reward holders.

The Rush Party post signed off with three words: “LET’S RUSH!”
