In Brief:
- Sanko GameCorp said it’s building the next stage of the SankoQuest economy, starting with DMT integration for Gold purchases.
- The plan also covers new ways to spend Gold in the game and withdrawals of Gold to players’ external wallets.
- The update follows the studio’s decision to wind down Sanko Mainnet and put its resources into SankoQuest.
Sanko GameCorp is working on DMT integration for Gold purchases in SankoQuest, the studio said in an economy update posted on X.
“We’re developing the next stage of the SankoQuest economy,” the studio said.
SankoQuest Economy Update
We’re developing the next stage of the SankoQuest economy, with work focused on:
• DMT integration for Gold purchases
• New ways to spend Gold within the game
• Gold withdrawals from game economy into players’ external wallets
We’re working
The post listed three areas of work. The first is DMT integration for Gold purchases. The second is new ways to spend Gold within the game. The third is Gold withdrawals from the game economy into players’ external wallets.
The studio didn’t give a release date for any of the three features. It also didn’t say whether they’d ship together or one at a time.
Gold moves toward the wallet
Today, Gold circulates inside SankoQuest. The planned withdrawal feature would let players move it out of the game economy and into wallets they control.
That would open a second route for Gold alongside the in-game one. The post didn’t include details on withdrawal limits, fees or which wallets would be supported.
And it didn’t describe the new Gold sinks. The studio said only that it’s working on new ways to spend the currency within the game.
Gold already had its first fix
This isn’t the first time Gold has come up in the studio’s patch notes. The Week 1 update, posted in late June, included a Gold deposit fix for users who had signed up with an external wallet.
That same update increased monster drops, improved farming incentives and widened access to materials for combat progression. It made crafting less punishing for arrows and shards and rebalanced the mining skill.
It also targeted AFK play. The patch required more active attention when farming monsters and changed how the game handles fully AFK players.
“Since launch, we’ve been focused on making the game smoother, more rewarding, and easier to play day to day,” the studio said at the time. “Daily player numbers are steadily increasing.”
DMT at the center
Sanko describes SankoQuest as the next chapter of its ecosystem, with DMT at the heart of the in-game economy. The game draws on classic MMORPGs, with players building a character, leveling up and taking part in a player-driven economy secured onchain.
DMT has a maximum supply of one million tokens. It’s used for in-game items, power-ups and character and stage unlocks, and a percentage of the tokens used in gameplay is burned.
Tying Gold purchases to DMT would connect the game’s soft currency directly to that token.
From mainnet to one game
SankoQuest became the studio’s main focus after Sanko GameCorp announced it would shut down Sanko Mainnet, its own L3 network. The company pointed to a shift in the wider market climate and said it wanted to maximize its impact in the future of play sector.
Users had to bridge assets off the network and start all withdrawals before a hard cutoff on Feb. 27, 2026, at 23:00 UTC.
SankoQuest launched in June. The launch post is still pinned to the top of the studio’s X account.
The economy update itself was brief. After listing the three features, the post read: “We’re working.”
