Wilder World launches first version of the Garage

• Wilder World (official site) shipped the first version of the Garage, a private space where the Wheel a player picks from the main menu spawns.

Wilder World turned on the first version of the Garage, giving players a private space where the vehicle they select from the main menu spawns.

“The first version of the Garage is live,” the studio said in a post. “A private location for your Wheels. Inside your garage spawns the vehicle you select from the main menu.”

That changes how players get into a car. The Open World Preview spawned them outside The Trenches and limited them to a fixed set of six drivable vehicles picked from the in-engine lineup.

What the Garage gates

The Garage is the entry point for player-owned Wheels. Version 2 adds wallet connection, pulling owned Wheels into the Garage Selector and making them drivable in the Open World. Version 3 expands the system through Packs, adding vehicle upgrades and tuning.

The refreshed Garage reads directly from connected ZERO wallets and shows every Wheel a player owns alongside each model integrated into the game. Players can view the full collection but only equip vehicles they own, have rented or that are temporarily available during specific events.

There’s no bridging step. The in-game wallet reads the player’s Z wallet address, and Ethereum wallets connect through ZERO.

Upgrades run through Packs

Packs sell from the main menu at one per day for $10 in WILD, each containing three items. Season One Packs carry six rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and WILD.

Wheels upgrades from Packs span five categories and affect speed, control and handling. Cosmetics include rims, paint mods and swappable pattern styles. Configurations save as presets, letting players switch between a racing build and an exploration build.

Livery presets stay in the game. Onchain metadata and the way a vehicle renders in wallets and web3 collections continue to reflect the original full body pattern only.

Where the open world stands

The Open World Preview went live Dec. 19, 2025 as a gated test, with testers invited in weekly waves. About 250 Wilders were active in it, and the first iteration covered a single district, Nexus, rather than the full island.

Game Release 0.11.1 stabilized the Garage, Packs and notification flows, fixing loading, camera and interaction problems when players moved between menus. The same build restored collision across traffic and park areas, made teleporters work reliably, closed unintended map access and improved vehicle handling across several models. Shield effects now trigger correctly on impact.

Multiplayer arrived separately, the first time players could occupy Wiami at the same time. It brought Team Breach events, where loot scales with squad size, and Forum Agents that hold major city intersections.

Still to come: backpack inventory, extraction at the Neural Station and player-to-player trading at the Bodega Market, with players risking equipped items and session WILD on death. Voice chat, an expanded map and full City Storage and Bank functionality are queued behind that. Performance work and a Steam launch are expected later this year.

Background

Wheels was the first industry Wilder World launched. Wilder Wheels Genesis runs 6,396 procedurally generated vehicles.

The rebuild of the collection started with Dev Log 5 on March 1, 2024, redesigning every model with wide body kits, unique lights, ICE engines and the project’s own wheels. More than 42 upgraded vehicles have been imported into the engine. Each one has distinct handling and belongs to a defined Performance Group.

And private garages aren’t new to Wiami’s fiction. The Hideout, a subterranean network of garages across The Island, has long promised members protection from auto theft and vandalism, plus travel between locations on an underground rail system called PANGAEA.

Damage repairs run through the garage UI. They’re free for now. The studio plans to charge for them later, to make players drive more carefully.
