Din Djarin is a working man again. The Mandalorian and Grogu, which hit theaters in May, is now on Disney Plus, and it drops Mando and his puppet sidekick into the fledgling New Republic as bounty hunters chasing Empire loyalists to the edges of the galaxy.
That’s the big one this weekend. It isn’t the only one.
Coyote vs Acme and Onslaught are in theaters if you want to leave the house. If you don’t, there’s a full slate at home, rental or streaming, and a few of these are stranger than the marketing suggests.

The Mandalorian feels like it came out a lifetime ago. The series kicked off a new generation of Star Wars stories for the small screen and gave us Din Djarin and his adorable apprentice. The movie hands them a new adventure, new characters, new planets and some overdue growth for the cutest baby in the galaxy.
It technically takes place after The Mandalorian season 3 and Ahsoka season 1. None of that really matters. Everything you need is in a static title card (no crawling text here), explaining that Din Djarin (voiced by Pedro Pascal, with much of the physical performance done by Lateef Crowder and Brendan Wayne) and Grogu are now bounty hunters for the New Republic, reporting to Colonel Ward, played by Sigourney Weaver.

Dark Hollow takes place in an Appalachian town where a mining accident disrupts the natural order and a monster emerges from one of the caves. A mother has to protect her family at all costs. Simple engine, and it doesn’t need more than that.

Erupcja is her biggest role to date. She travels to Poland with her boyfriend, who’s planning to propose during the trip. She ditches him the moment they land to reconnect with a childhood friend.
Fuze goes the other direction on tension: a group of soldiers in the UK working through a massive evacuation after an unearthed World War II bomb turns up, one that might explode at any moment.
A billionaire, an island and a machine that calls out
A tech billionaire recruits a scientist for a secret mission on a Caribbean island. Once she’s there, she learns what she’s been hired for: a machine designed to reach out and connect with extraterrestrial life.
Mayday is set in the Soviet Union in the ’80s and follows a US Navy pilot on a covert mission, shot down in enemy territory by an ex-KGB agent. The twist is the agent’s obsession with American culture, which turns the whole thing into an unlikely partnership.
The nightmare stopped staying in her head
Parasomnia follows Riley, a young woman dealing with night terrors after living through traumatic experiences. Then her best friend goes missing, and Riley starts to believe the demon hunting her dreams has escaped and gone after her friend.
