About MIR4
What is MIR4?
MIR4 is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG from the Korean publisher WEMADE, a sequel to the long-running Mir series. It launched globally in August 2021 on PC and mobile, including a Steam release, with one account shared across devices. Its blockchain side does not run on BNB Chain: it runs through XDRACO, WEMADE's platform for MIR4's tokens and character NFTs, which is powered by WEMIX.
Blockchain features suspended (October 2026). An official notice dated 27 October 2026 says all blockchain-related content in MIR4, including Character NFT and XDRACO, is temporarily suspended for service maintenance from 30 October 2026, 18:00 (UTC+8), until further notice. The game itself keeps running, and the notice says players will be told when services return. Source: MIR4 official notice.
How to play MIR4
Underneath, MIR4 is a conventional Korean MMO. You pick one of five classes, and a class change system lets you switch freely between them; the crossbow-wielding Arbalist was the first class added after launch. Play mixes open-field questing, raids, boss raids, world bosses and clan content, with heavy use of auto-combat for levelling and farming.
Clan warfare is the centre of the endgame. Clans fight over Bicheon Castle in the Bicheon Castle Siege, raid other servers' vaults in Bicheon Heist, and contest Hidden Valleys and Sabuk in large battles. Wayfarer travel lets players move between servers. The game has been updated in numbered chapters since 2021; Chapter 21, Spirit Summoner, is the latest, and Chapter 22 is announced as coming soon.
MIR4 tokens and NFTs
The crypto layer is attached to one resource rather than the whole game. Darksteel, mined in contested zones, could be smelted into the DRACO token, and the official site lists HYDRA alongside DRACO as the game's second token. Characters that reach a high enough level and power score could be minted as NFTs and sold through XDRACO, which makes account value transferable, but sealing a character for sale makes it unplayable. A DRACO staking programme also ran on XDRACO. All of these on-chain features are covered by the October 2026 suspension.
Is MIR4 worth playing?
As an MMO it still runs and still gets chapter updates, so it suits players who enjoy grind-heavy Korean progression, auto-combat and clan wars. As a crypto game, its token and NFT features are switched off until WEMADE lifts the suspension, so nobody should play it for earnings right now.
Our verdict
MIR4 is Wemade's free-to-play MMORPG, a sequel to the long-running Korean Mir series, launched globally in August 2021 on PC and mobile with a shared account across both. Underneath, it is a conventional Korean MMO: five swappable classes including the crossbow-wielding Arbalist, open-field questing, and clan warfare, with a crypto layer attached to one specific resource rather than to the whole game.
Since 30 October 2026 that crypto layer is switched off. An official notice says all blockchain features, including Character NFT and XDRACO, are temporarily suspended for maintenance until further notice, while the game keeps running (MIR4 notice).
When it runs, the mining loop is legible. Darksteel pulled from contested zones converts into the DRACO token through XDRACO, WEMADE's platform powered by WEMIX, and characters with a high enough level and power score can be minted as NFTs and sold, so account value is transferable instead of locked to the publisher. The clan sieges fought over Darksteel territory are a substantial part of the game.
What does not work is how much of it plays itself. Levelling and farming lean heavily on auto-combat, which makes running several accounts as mining rigs practical and hands-on play feel optional. Returns track DRACO's price and conversion limits that Wemade controls, and sealing a character for sale makes it unplayable.
It suits players who enjoy grind-heavy Korean progression and idle systems; treat any earnings as speculation, and none are possible while the suspension lasts.
This is our own editorial assessment. We do not score games — ratings come from players.
