RavenQuest
What is RavenQuest?
RavenQuest is a blockchain-based play-to-earn MMORPG built on the Polygon network. The game combines a topdown perspective with open-world PvP mechanics, creating a competitive environment where players can own and control in-game assets with real economic value. Players enter a persistent world designed around territorial control, resource management, and player-versus-player combat.
How to Play RavenQuest
Gameplay centers on three core systems: land ownership, character customization, and combat preparation. Players claim plots of land anywhere in the world to establish personal bases where they can build houses and farms, creating persistent property stakes. Character progression relies on collecting Ravencards—unique cards that allow players to customize and enhance their avatars with distinct abilities and attributes. Resource gathering is essential; players must scavenge materials throughout the world to craft powerful weapons and equipment, which they then use in competitive encounters against other players in the open-world environment.
RavenQuest's Open-World PvP
The game emphasizes direct player conflict as a core mechanic. Rather than isolated arenas, combat unfolds in the shared open world where territorial claims and resource competition drive ongoing rivalries. This design encourages emergent gameplay, group formation, and dynamic player interactions based on land control, wealth accumulation, and combat capability.

Our verdict on RavenQuest
RavenQuest is a top-down, pixel-art sandbox MMORPG from Tavernlight Games, and it makes more sense once you know it is the web3 branch of the studio's earlier MMO, Ravendawn — the two share a world, an art style and, after a 2025 realignment, much of the same development pipeline. The client is free and runs on PC and mobile; the token layer sits beside it, with land deeds and the QUEST token issued on Immutable's zkEVM network, which is itself built on Polygon technology.
The stronger half is the game underneath the economy: Ravencard-based character building, real professions such as farming, husbandry and woodcutting, and Tradepack hauling that pushes players into contested territory for better returns. PvP is not blanket open-world — a zone system lets cautious players opt out, at the cost of the richest routes.
The weaker half is access. Land is the economic engine, its supply is finite and the sales sold out, so newcomers reach it only through resale or renting from existing owners. Rewards arrive as weekly shared pools, meaning individual yields drift with how many people are competing.
It suits patient crafting-and-trading players who like slow, systems-heavy MMOs — not those after fast combat or predictable income.
