Atia’s Legacy Playtest 2 is here
Atia’s Legacy has kicked off Playtest 2, inviting players to explore a game that has undergone substantial improvements. This round comes six months after the initial playtest, incorporating user feedback to enhance gameplay.
The cornerstone of this update is a complete overhaul of the combat mechanics, shifting to single axie control with an emphasis on manual play. Players will utilize a basic attack, an ultimate ability, and a dash action, removing auto combat entirely. This structure aims for higher skill expression and responsive controls.
New dungeon mode and bosses
Central to the playtest is a newly introduced 10-stage dungeon mode, characterized by escalating difficulty. Players can choose between Casual and Hardcore modes, with a time limit of three minutes to defeat all enemies in each stage. Both modes will challenge players against bosses every three stages, and participants must decide whether to extract their rewards or push further into the dungeon at the risk of losing everything.
Two new bosses await players, with one already familiar to those who followed Codex Season 1. Their encounter promises to test strategies and skills under pressure.
Expanded weapon arsenal
Alongside gameplay changes, five new weapons join the fray. Each weapon offers unique skills, ranging from agile strikes with the Dagger to control and healing capabilities with the Flute and Tome. Players are encouraged to experiment with combinations that suit their combat style.
Feedback and participation opportunities
Playtesters can share their insights via Discord, with significant feedback encouraged on the new combat system and overall game feel. Various competitions are available, including a Speedrunner Challenge for the fastest dungeon clear times, and a Fan Art Contest, where submissions could win significant rewards, including up to 150 bAXS.
Conclusion with emphasis on player choice
As players delve into the depths of Lunacia, they will face not just enemies but critical choices that influence their success. The stakes are high: will you emerge victorious, or will the dungeon claim another hero?
