Event Launches with Upgraded Features
Calamity has kicked off Sunforge Season, an eight-week gaming event designed to offer more varied gameplay than the March Play Test. New economy systems, including Holder Production, Fortune’s Veil Lottery, and Silver Tribute, have been introduced, alongside a revamped structure for PvE and PvP tracks.
The season runs from June 25 to August 20, 2026. Players can expect a gradual rollout of rewards, with Tribute payouts every week. The total estimated prize pool of around $20,000 includes WYRM tokens, Gold, and NFTs, distributed across various competitive tracks.
What’s New
The Sunforge Season adds three major economy systems, enhancing player engagement and reward distribution. Weekly Tribute payouts will offer ongoing incentives rather than a concentration of rewards at launch. Revamped PvE and PvP formats include Conquest progression and competitive tracks, ensuring that players experience a richer gaming journey.
In addition, a comprehensive polish pass has been implemented since the last event, improving UI, combat, and overall quality of life.
Specifics on Timing and Prizes
Sunforge Season kicks off on June 25 at about 1:00 PM UTC, with minor adjustments possible at launch. The event culminates on August 20, 2026, with the Conquest leaderboard locking four weeks in, on July 24, 2026. Other season leaderboards will snapshot in August, closer to the season’s conclusion.
The total prize structure features 602,500 WYRM tokens, with estimated values exceeding $5,000. The reward breakdown includes 248,000 WYRM for Conquest, 262,500 WYRM for Duelist PvP, and 92,000 WYRM for Combatant PvP. Event payouts will convert Gold to USDC at a ratio of 100 Gold to 1 USDC after the season ends.
Closing Details
Each weekly Wyrm Tribute pool will begin with an inflow of 10,000 Gold, complemented by player contributions. Silver Tribute will maintain a weekly minimum of 200,000, culminating in an estimated $13,000 equivalent by the end of the season. NFT rewards will be available across multiple tracks, adding further incentives for players engaging with the event.
“We’re excited for players to experience the full breadth of new content,” said a spokesperson for Calamity.
