Someone at Warhorse Studios filed a trademark on July 23 and probably didn’t expect the internet to notice within hours.
They did. The name is Kingdom Come Salvation, and it showed up on the European Union Intellectual Property Office classification site a few hours ago, filed by Warhorse Studios in the Czech Republic.
Leaks don’t get much cleaner than a company filing paperwork under its own name.
Here’s the detail that matters most. The filing lists Salvation as “computer gaming software,” which rules out the fun speculative stuff about a film or a series adaptation. It’s a game. That’s confirmed by the category itself.
What isn’t confirmed is what kind of game.
Third chapter, spin-off, or something else entirely
Nobody knows yet whether Salvation is the third major entry in the series, a spin-off, or something that doesn’t fit either box. The trademark tells you the name and the medium. It doesn’t tell you the scope.
Warhorse also attached the logo bearing the game’s title to the filing, which is the kind of thing studios do when an announcement isn’t far off.
None of this comes out of nowhere. The studio has already confirmed it’s working on a new chapter in the Kingdom Come series, and word is we’ll learn more within the year.
The other game nobody’s talking about enough
Kingdom Come isn’t the only thing on Warhorse’s plate. The studio has an RPG set in the Lord of the Rings universe in development, arriving at some point in the future.

The Warhorse announcement teasing “a new adventure in the Kingdom Come universe” is worth revisiting now, alongside the Lord of the Rings project reveal. Both land differently once you’ve seen a trademark with an actual title attached.
A trademark filing is the least glamorous document in gaming, and it’s also the one that’s hardest to argue with. No teaser trailer, no cryptic countdown site, no vague studio statement about “an exciting new direction.” Just a name, a logo and a filing date.
