Launch dates confirmed
Upland has announced definitive dates for its property assignment feature and the Troves system, critical components aimed at integrating the game’s mechanics. Uppie property assignment will kick off on August 1, running through September 15, while Troves, along with Trove Banking and Progression, will go live prior to the October 1 Harvest Season.
To mark these launches, Upland is hosting its largest Uppie drop, with registration starting July 28 and sales opening on July 29.
Troves system and its significance
The Troves system will fall into three main pillars: Collect, Bank, and Progress. Players can discover Troves through interactive gameplay, gather them from in-game elements, and create them via recipes. The banking feature allows players to secure Troves in a vault, and Progress enables them to advance by accumulating Troves and completing game objectives.
These interconnected systems will deepen gameplay, linking property ownership with player activities, such as building and neighborhood development. Upland positions Troves as a linchpin that combines various gameplay aspects, enriching the overall experience.
Uppie assignments enhance gameplay
In conjunction with Troves, the Uppie property assignment feature will allow players to designate Level 3 and higher Uppies to their properties. Once assigned, Uppies will care for plants, providing a new level of interactivity. Players still need to feed plants, but the Uppie makes continuous care easier.
Future enhancements plan to enable 3D movements for Uppies and automate Trove collection, meaning Level 5 Uppies will one day automatically collect Troves from plants, emphasizing the importance of where players assign their Uppies.
Largest Uppie drop to date
To gear up for these developments, Upland is releasing two limited bundle options during the Uppie drop. The first bundle pairs 20,000 UPX with an Uppie Pack for $20, limited to 3,000 bundles. The second offers 50,000 UPX and guarantees Level 3 or higher Uppies for $50, with only 400 bundles available. These offerings aim to prepare players for property assignment.
Inside Upland
Upland, often likened to a blockchain version of Monopoly, allows users to buy, sell, and trade virtual properties mapped to real-world locations. Launched in December 2019, Upland has grown into a significant player in the virtual property space, boasting over three million users.
The game operates on UPX currency, built on the EOS blockchain. Players can earn UPX through various in-game activities, and properties become registered NFTs once players achieve Uplander status.
Upland’s ecosystem has evolved to include varied features like structures and service forms, broadening the gameplay while keeping property ownership central to the experience. The upcoming Troves and Uppie developments further intertwine these mechanics, solidifying property trading as the core of the game.
Interconnected gameplay design
Upland emphasizes that all intersecting elements—Troves, Banking, Uppies, and properties—are designed to complement each other. Players’ choices in property ownership and development will enhance their gameplay experience, aiming to create a seamless user experience.
With the Sizzle Season and Troves launch approaching, Upland looks poised to engage its player base with new interconnected features that deepen its real estate simulation approach.
