Footium (official site)’s Training Centre goes live on Wednesday 4 November, when pre-season for Season 25 starts. It’s the third club-building system in the football management game, after Stadiums and Academy Upgrades. Stadiums shape your matchday MATCH $0.00000197 ▼ -1.5% and the Academy shapes your intake. The Training Centre works on the players already in your squad.

It has five facilities: the Coaching office, Recovery suite, Main pitch, Gym and Changing rooms. All five arrive together, and you pay for upgrades in FC, the same currency used for stadiums and academies. You earn FC from home matches and end-of-season rewards.

How the facilities work

Ordinary rating training still spends unlocked potential, condition and time to raise a player’s positional ratings. The Training Centre sits on top of that. Each facility controls a different part of training and has its own level from 0 to 5. You pick one, pay the FC and it goes up one level, the same way a stadium stand or academy building does.

Level 0 leaves ordinary rating training as it is, so you don’t have to build anything to keep training. You keep your two default slots and your coaching slot. No facility adds rating-training slots, raises total potential or changes the potential formula. The Gym and Changing rooms each open a dedicated attribute slot at Level 1.

Prices are the same in every division, so a Division 8 club can build a Division 1 training ground if you own the club. Caretaker clubs can’t use facility actions or effects. Each upgrade is bought one level at a time, and the listed prices are per upgrade, not the running total. Cheap early levels let you start small, while higher levels cost a lot more FC. There’s no set upgrade order, so you can build the facilities that fit your squad.

Recovery suite

The Recovery suite lowers the condition cost of rating-training sessions. Condition is what limits training in practice: every session takes a chunk out of a player, and a player who would drop too low can’t train at all. How much condition your squad can spare decides how many sessions you run each week.

Early upgrades save a little. At Level 5 a standard rating session costs 17 condition instead of 25, a 32% saving. Stamina and leadership sessions have a fixed condition cost and aren’t affected. You still have to weigh training against match readiness and available potential.

Main pitch

The Main pitch shortens rating-training sessions. A player in training is out of your squad until the session ends, and sessions get longer the more potential a player has already used. That means your most developed starters spend the longest time off the pitch.

The reduction applies to the full normal session length, including the extra time from used potential. Level 2 cuts 20% off for 45,000 FC in total construction costs. It doesn’t change a session’s condition cost or rewards, and stamina and leadership sessions stay at 2 h 30.

Coaching office

The Coaching office gives you free coaching sessions each season. They’re added to your club’s balance once per season when pre-season processing finishes, and you use them in your existing coaching slot. The office doesn’t add a slot or change what a session gives you. Coaching sessions keep their current rewards, including 90 accumulated minutes per completed session.

If you build or upgrade the office partway through a season, the extra sessions arrive straight away. You get the difference between the new entitlement and what you’ve already received that season, or the full amount if nothing has been granted yet.

Gym and Changing rooms

These two add training that wasn’t possible before. Stamina and leadership have been fixed when a player is generated, so the only way to get more of either was to buy a player who already had it.

Each facility opens one attribute-training slot at Level 1. A completed session adds +1 to the attribute, takes a fixed 2 h 30 and costs a fixed 10 condition. Recovery suite and Main pitch upgrades don’t change those numbers. Attribute sessions don’t touch positional ratings, don’t spend potential and don’t award accumulated minutes. Each player has a seasonal allowance per attribute, and that allowance follows the player rather than the club.

The Gym opens a stamina slot. Stamina sets how fast a player loses condition in a match. Since Season 22 it has mattered a lot more, because tired players are the ones who get injured and rotation is part of the job. Wingers, full backs and anyone played in a mentality feel it most. You can start stamina work at a low Gym level and carry on as you upgrade. Each Gym level sets a ceiling on further gains, though a player already above it keeps the stamina they have. Gains stay with the player after a transfer or a facility downgrade.

The Changing rooms open a leadership slot. Leadership only counts for your captain, but the captain’s leadership decides how big a lift the whole team gets. That means you can give the armband to the player you actually want and train them up to it. Level 2 costs 25,000 FC in total construction costs and allows up to 2 leadership sessions per player per season. Every enabled level can train leadership up to 99. Gains stay after a transfer or downgrade here too.

Timing and maintenance

Pre-season stamina and leadership training opens on Thursday 5 November 2026 at 13:00 UK time (GMT) and stays available through the season. It isn’t open for the whole pre-season. Normal rating training, including coaching sessions, runs from the first matchday to the last, and no new rating sessions can start while it’s closed. Facility upgrades apply when a session starts, so a player already mid-session when you upgrade only benefits from the next one.

When off-season attribute training is switched on at the break-start reset, condition is raised to at least 70. Players already above 70 keep their current condition, so it isn’t a full reset to 100.

Facility levels carry over from season to season. Developed buildings can need maintenance, and the game shows each one as either healthy or needing maintenance. If one needs work, the Training tab shows the FC cost. You have the rest of the season to pay it, and the facility keeps working until then. There’s no maintenance roll in Season 25. The first one happens at the start of Season 26.

The Training Centre is in the Training tab, which has Sessions and Facilities views. Footium calls these launch values. The team will watch training activity, squad condition, player development and FC spent on facilities, and will explain any balance changes it makes. Player feedback is being collected on Discord and in the end-of-season survey.
