In Brief:
- Chainers opened Season Pass V3, titled “Tranquil Waters,” at $29.99, a price the game said holds only until Aug. 2.
- It’s the third season pass in roughly three months, following V2’s July debut and the Season 1 “Peacock Domination” run that ended June 29.
- The cadence lands while 51 Games works toward a Q3 2026 TGE and listing for $CHU, the token $CFB is slated to convert into.
Chainers priced Season Pass V3 at $29.99 and set Aug. 2 as the cutoff for that price.
The season is called “Tranquil Waters” and is built around an underwater theme. “Get yours for $29.99 and claim all-new treasures from the world beneath the waves,” the game said in the post announcing it. Chainers described V3 as its best pass yet at its best price.

What the announcement leaves out
The post didn’t publish a level count, a reward table or a season end date. It also didn’t say whether the mechanics introduced one month ago carry into V3.
That matters because V2 changed the structure more than the artwork did. Season Pass V2 added Infinity levels, which removed the cap that had stopped rewards at level 28 and let players keep farming past it.
V2 also folded both the Free and Premium reward tracks into a single Golden Pass purchase. Players could buy pass levels outright with CFB to speed up progression, and an Auto Collect feature swept up remaining rewards, with the discount scaling as players cleared more levels. A “Reclaim Everything” option handed over the full set of Golden rewards once all levels were done.
V2 launched with an 11 percent discount on the Golden Pass for its first two days. V3’s $29.99 window runs longer, though Chainers hasn’t said what the pass costs after Aug. 2.
The economy behind the pass
Chainers reworked its reward pools on July 17, adding a Tier 4 and reshaping the existing tiers. Daily Tier 1 payouts went from 750 CFB to 3,000 CFB, part of an increase across every tier. Boosters, seeds and garden beds feed player output into those pools.
CFB is the soft currency for crafting, farming, upgrades and store purchases. It replaced $FRI and is set to convert into $CHU at an exchange rate that hasn’t been disclosed.
$CHU is the piece still ahead. 51 Games has targeted Q3 2026 for both the TGE and listings, with 20% of tokens released at TGE and the remaining 80% unlocking monthly over 12 months. No exact dates have been fixed. The post-listing airdrop is 10 million $CHU, under 1% of supply, and only wallets on the whitelist from the Chainers website qualify.
Season passes as a rhythm
Season 1, “Peacock Domination,” ran May 19 to June 29 as part of the Golden Summer campaign. It carried 25 primary milestone levels open to every player and a peacock animal line split across rarity tiers. Rewards included CFB, seeds, farm animals, fertilizers and decorative items, with Golden Pass buyers getting the Infinity Levels on top.
Three passes, three themes, three price structures. The pattern points at a monthly-ish cycle rather than a long seasonal arc, and each iteration has shipped a mechanical change alongside the cosmetic one.
Background
Chainers is a browser MMO from 51 Games where players build characters, farm, craft, explore and fight in PvE and PvP. It runs on Chainers Chain, a Polygon Edge sidechain, and integrated with Immutable last year for events paying out CFB and Gems. New accounts start without a wallet and receive a starter pack that includes a non-transferable First Chainer card.
The studio put its player count above 600,000 in its Nov. 24, 2025, announcement of the $CHU listing plan. Its 2026 roadmap lists the public token sale, a marketplace, CEX listings, DAO governance, UGC tools and open-world gameplay.
The V3 store page gives players three days.
