What’s in the patch
The Multicast change is the clearest combat shift. Multicast previously didn’t apply to Fire Orb. After the update it will, which alters how Fire Orb builds scale over a run.
Funtico didn’t specify which enemy waves were rebalanced or in which direction.
The update also introduces new in-game drops. The Medium Potion restores 50 HP. The Boss Potion fully restores HP and grants +1 Reroll and +1 Skip, giving players a second pass at an upgrade screen in the same pickup. A third drop is listed as Time.
A run of frequent updates
Lyralis Survivors has been on a near-continuous patch cycle. An earlier update added a free Explorer tier, letting players win five-player rooms for a Private Pass, alongside vouchers that grant one free entry for every 10 Funtico games played. That release also brought smoother mobile play plus UI and History fixes.
Another update targeted performance on mobile and Mac and reworked mobile controls.
The game runs weekly tournaments. Funtico doubled the Episode 1 prize pool to 100,000 $TICO, with a 100 $TICO entry fee and 20,000 $TICO to first place.
Platform changes around it
The patches sit inside a broader set of platform moves. Funtico introduced the TICO JAR, a rewards system that routes 10% of all entry fees from all Rooms back to players. In its first week more than 700 players took part and nearly 45,000 $TICO in platform fees was distributed automatically.
A Capsules update added more Multiplier Tickets for the JAR and more Private Passes, rebalanced some drop percentages and removed Infinity Chests. Funtico also rolled out a Hall of Fame global leaderboard after free-to-play features went live across its current games, and opened Explorer Rooms, which are free to enter and require no $TICO commitment.
Lyralis Survivors sits alongside Golazo League, Formula Funtico, Solitaire Slam, Bingo Rampage, Tico Bar, Knife Catcher, Heroes of the Citadel, Deck Duels and Infinity Warp on the platform.
Background
Funtico launched in early 2024 on Avalanche and operates as both a studio and a publisher for indie developers building on AVAX. Its stack includes a Publisher-as-a-Service model, cross-game interoperability through $TICO and integrated fiat and crypto payment rails.
Players can deposit $TICO into Funtico accounts over the Avalanche C-Chain, with custody secured and insured by BitGo, or buy $TICO by card through Simplex.
The company announced a partnership with Avalanche and LaunchLoop, the community-led accelerator behind Avalanche’s GameLoop initiative, naming Funtico as Avalanche’s primary platform for supporting independent developers and studios. That collaboration started Sept. 8 with Avalanche GameLoop Season 1 and a $30,000 prize pool, with developers building a browser-based high score game to compete for a share.
Funtico’s mid-year recap put cumulative payouts at more than $120,000 and more than 3.7 million $TICO across 95 tournaments, to 4,507 unique winners.
The token itself has had a harder time. $TICO launched in January 2025 as an ERC-20 token on the Avalanche C-Chain, bridged to Ethereum, Polygon, Base and other chains, with a fixed supply of 10 billion and a smart contract audited by Sayfer. By August 2025 it was trading near $0.0036, down about 77.5% from launch, with a market cap around $7.75 million.
