What the post left out
Rarible hasn’t published a drop page or a blog post for Bobos of War, and the company didn’t attach terms to the announcement. Anyone trying to size the thing is working from a title and nothing else.
The timing is the clearest signal. Rarible has spent the past three months pushing product onto Solana, which is where Bobos of War has lived since 2022.
The Solana buildout
Rarible opened its full Solana marketplace on Aug. 6, naming Claynosaurz as its first featured collection. Solana joined Ethereum, MegaETH and Base on the platform, with dedicated Solana Explore, Mint and Gacha pages.
The expansion went through a community governance vote first. Development and audits ran on a four-week build.
Before the marketplace came Gacha Station, which went live June 22 as Rarible’s first consumer product built directly on Solana infrastructure. It runs on Collector Crypt’s tokenized physical trading card platform.
Packs start at $25 and cover Pokémon, One Piece, Anime Pop Culture and Sports. Each pull delivers a tokenized collectible tied to a professionally graded physical card held in Collector Crypt’s vault. Pokémon packs are split into Starter, Elite, Grail, Legendary and Fire & Grass tiers.
Purchases settle in USDC on Solana, with card top-ups routed through Stripe Onramp or Moonpay. An Instant Buyback toggle gives eligible Common cards an automatic offer worth up to 85% of market value, credited toward the next pack. Gacha remains Solana-only.
Collector Crypt reports roughly 40,000 daily users, $4.07 million in weekly revenue, more than $53 million in cumulative protocol revenue and over $1 billion in total trading volume.
Rarible’s stated roadmap for the product includes a marketplace, physical shipping and a points and rewards program.
Who the Bobos are
Bobos of War minted on Solana in early 2022, a 6,685-piece collection built around an animated series and a first-person shooter. The pitch centered on a character called Dr. Pepenstein.
Its Bobo Kingdom is divided into four continents: Byrus, Beldova, Breawruth and Brussia. Each holds a finite number of Bobo soldiers and operates as a mini DAO with voting and a treasury wallet the team funded at the start.
Continent DAOs can vote to declare war. That opens an arena mode where teams of five compete for battle stars, and the first continent to 35 stars takes $BOW tokens out of the loser’s treasury.
Holders can also stake through a feature called the Hibernation Station to earn more $BOW, or run mini-games at training camps to raise a Bobo’s battle stats.
New owner, older catalog
Impossible acquired the Rarible brand and core platform assets in May. The RARI Foundation ecosystem and RARI tokens remain independently managed.
Rarible has been reaching backward into Solana’s 2021 and 2022 collections since the marketplace opened, and Bobos of War fits that pattern more than it fits the graded-card business Gacha Station was built on.
When Rarible looked back at the Gacha Station rollout, it called the release “the first glimpse of what was coming.”
