In Brief:
- Valhalla (official site) said its v1.13.0 patch will prepare the game for mobile, simplify its battle and account systems and lay groundwork for economy changes that haven’t been detailed.
- The game has run in the browser on opBNB since its June 30, 2025 mainnet launch. A mobile app for iOS and Android was first promised for 2025 and is now slated for 2026.
- No release date, patch notes or economy specifics have been published, and the team teased “something else” in the same post without saying what.
Valhalla said its next patch will prepare the game for mobile, flatten two of its core systems and set up economy changes the team hasn’t yet described.
“The patch will prepare Valhalla for mobile, simplify battle and account systems, lay groundwork for upcoming economy changes, alongside other improvements,” the team said in a post on X, calling v1.13.0 “a big foundational update.”

It gave no release date and published no patch notes. The post ended with a teaser: “And apparently, there’s ‘something else’ coming too.”
Mobile has been promised twice
Valhalla is browser-based. FLOKI said in March 2025 that it would ship a mobile app for both iOS and Android “later this year,” citing user demand, and updated its roadmap to match. That didn’t happen. The mobile release is now listed for 2026, and the client work in v1.13.0 is the first patch-level sign of it.
The app is expected to carry the core game, its earning mechanics and its NFTs.
The economy piece is groundwork, not the change itself
Valhalla runs a dual-currency setup: FLOKI alongside two in-game currencies, Runix and Onyx. Players earn through tournament payouts denominated in FLOKI, marketplace sales of captured and trained Veras, resource farming and crafting, and seasonal events. FLOKI has committed a multi-million dollar treasury to player rewards.
Game spending also functions as a token sink. FLOKI’s deflationary mechanics include automatic buy-and-burn from FlokiFi Locker fees, burn penalties on early staking withdrawals and the sinks inside Valhalla itself, and the project has moved from a hyper-deflationary model toward a capped supply through burns.
The team hasn’t said which of those levers v1.13.0 touches. It said only that the patch prepares for changes that come later.
Battle and account systems get simplified
Combat is turn-based on a hexagonal battlefield, where players deploy Veras with their own stats and abilities. The design rewards planning over reaction speed. Neither the post nor any published notes say what “simplify” means for the battle system or for accounts.
The last patch went the other direction. Valhalla shipped v1.12.2, “Reworked Roots,” to mainnet with gameplay updates to four Veras, adding abilities and mechanics rather than trimming them. The team also said tile selection was getting a visual update.
Earlier, v0.35.0 added new Veras, enchanted amulets and a resource called Vera Essence. That patch also barred duplicate Veras from a single team, pushing players toward varied rosters.
Background
Valhalla launched on opBNB mainnet on June 30, 2025, after more than three years of development, and marked FLOKI’s move from meme token to a product line. Gas fees on the network typically run under a cent.
The mobile app isn’t the only item on FLOKI’s roadmap. The project has also listed a cross-chain Telegram and Discord trading bot whose fees fund FLOKI buybacks and burns, FLOKI-powered digital bank accounts in multiple currencies, and a dedicated Chinese edition of Valhalla.
For now the most concrete published change to the game remains the one in v1.12.2, where Hushroom “introduces Mycelium Stance, trading mobility for healing.”
