In Brief:
- RAWR Defense said Sept. 5 it has overhauled the mobile version of its competitive tower defense game and will open testing soon.
- The game runs on Ronin and is set in the Craft World universe from Angry Dynomites Lab.
- Ronin’s own account amplified the post five days later, pushing the title to a wider audience ahead of the test.
RAWR Defense has rewritten its mobile build and says a test window is close.
“The mobile version just got an overhaul. Get ready to test it soon!” the team said in a Sept. 5 post.
If you LOVE tower defense games, you need to try @RAWRDefense

No date was attached. The post didn’t say whether the test will run on Android, iOS or both, how large the tester pool will be, or how players sign up.
What the game is
The team described the project as a “Competitive tower defense game on @Ronin_Network in the @AngryDynomites’ Craft World universe!”
That places it inside the intellectual property Angry Dynomites Lab has been building out since its original dinosaur NFT collection, and on the same chain as Craft World itself. The post didn’t detail how, or whether, RAWR Defense connects to Craft World’s token economy.
Ronin picks it up
Ronin’s official account quoted the announcement on Sept. 10, five days after it went out.
The chain has spent the year pointing its audience at ecosystem titles beyond Axie Infinity (official site). Angry Dynomites Lab sits in that group alongside Pixels (official site), Cambria (official site) and Kaidro (official site).
The universe it sits in
Craft World went live on Ronin mainnet on July 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. UTC, a day later than planned after what the studio called issues with its service provider. Its testnet phase drew more than 2.7 million accounts.
The game is a free-to-play builder in which players extract and refine resources, automate production chains and pool materials into communal structures called Masterpieces. Four elemental tokens, $FIRE, $WATER, $EARTH and $AIR, anchor a crafting economy that runs across more than 25 ERC-20 tokens.
VOYA Games, the studio that operates the project, raised $5 million in May 2025 in a round co-led by 1kx and Makers Fund. RockawayX, Sky Mavis co-founder Jeff “Jihoz” Zirlin and The Sandbox (official site) co-founder Sebastien Borget also took part, bringing total funding past $6 million. The money was earmarked for the mainnet launch and for an interoperable set of games sharing one player-owned economy.
The studio rebranded from Angry Dynomites Lab to VOYA Games in November 2023 and kept Angry Dynomites Lab as the name of the IP.
Scale and token
Craft World draws roughly 60,000 monthly players and about 9,000 daily, with around 1,500 new installs a day across browser, Android and iOS. Onboarding runs through VOYA ID, a Ronin smart wallet created automatically, with gas sponsored for check-ins, claims and exchange trades.
DynoCoin is the ecosystem’s utility token. The studio has called it a pure utility asset with uncapped in-game supply, not designed for value accrual and not carrying financial value.
It minted 100 million additional DynoCoin for the treasury, sending 61 million into liquidity pools and holding 39 million for future ecosystem needs, then opened trading at 0.001 USDC on Katana. Total supply stands at 1.1 billion. None of it went to insiders, team members or investors, and there are no vesting schedules.
Craft World’s event cadence has leaned on the same RAWR branding the tower defense title carries. RAWR Together, a Pride-themed cooperative event, ran in July with rewards valued up to $150. Rawrshine followed in August over 88 hours with an individual reward cap of $160. Moon Soon, an alien-themed event, opened Aug. 24 on the same 88-hour clock and the same $160 cap.
Whether RAWR Defense taps any of that plumbing is still unstated. For now the pitch from Ronin is simpler: “If you LOVE tower defense games, you need to try @RAWRDefense”
