“Built from the ground up. Now it’s time to open the doors,” the club said in a post on X.

Five days in Seongsu

BAYC announced the Seoul drop on Sept. 23. “Stonrok has spent years building a world and visual language of his own. Now, for five days in Seongsu, that world collides with ours,” the club said.

The pop-up runs through Oct. 4. Visitors can stop by to meet the club and learn about it, and they can buy the collection there. Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge and Won Kim were at the shop meeting visitors.

The first two Anchor Drops were sold online. This one isn’t. Buyers have to visit the Seoul shop during the Asia tour.

What’s in the drop

The collection includes a rugby shirt, a five-panel hat and two burgee flags. Each piece carries the BAYC logo redrawn in Stonrok’s signature style. The shop also stocks BAYC apparel basics.

Stonrok and BAYC made the two burgee flags as one-offs. Like earlier burgee flags, one will hang in the club’s future clubhouse and the other will go to a holder. To enter the giveaway, holders sign in with a wallet and register on the microsite at stonrok.boredapeyachtclub.com.

The microsite describes the flag as “A limited edition item, infused with the essence of Seoul for one lucky Ape.”

The artist

Kim has worked with Nike, New Era and K-pop artist G-Dragon. His work uses red, yellow and black, along with crosses arranged in grids and a flat smiley face. The pop-up uses the red and yellow smiley faces throughout.

“The same way people know the BAYC skull instantly, Stonrok’s signature marks and his colors do the work before anyone reads a label,” the club said.

Anchor Drops and the Asia push

BAYC calls Anchor Drops an ongoing series that brings in artists from different cities and scenes and lets them show what the club looks like through their eyes. King Saladeen designed the first drop, which went on sale June 30, 2026. Sean Wotherspoon designed the second.

The Seoul stop is part of a five-city community tour across the Asia-Pacific region that started Sept. 25. BAYC first came to South Korea earlier this year as part of a wider push into Asia.

At the time, the club said, “Korea’s BAYC community has always been strong, so we’re showing up more directly on the ground, with a BAYC OG in Seoul helping lead efforts.”

The club’s ApeFest takes place Oct. 17 at Beeple Studios in Charleston, South Carolina. But the Stonrok flags won’t be sold there or anywhere else. One goes to a single Ape. The other goes on the clubhouse wall.
