The event, Terrariums: Halloween 2026, runs from Oct. 24 to Nov. 7. The Axie team published the details on its blog Oct. 16.

Flat Flame bonuses for Nightmare parts

For two weeks, Nightmare parts and bodies add a fixed amount of Atia’s Flame on top of whatever an axie already produces. Each Nightmare part adds 200 Flame. A Shiny Nightmare part adds 300, and a Nightmare body adds 200.

Every qualifying part counts, and the bonuses stack with existing Flame contributions.

The blog post worked through the math. One fully evolved axie with a single Nightmare part breaks down to 40 base Flame, a 58.8 evolved part boost and the 200 Nightmare boost. That takes it “from 98.8 to 298.8 Flame, an increase of about 202%,” the post said.

At the top end, the post’s second example is a Mystic axie with four Nightmare parts, one Shiny Nightmare part, a Nightmare body, three Nightmare accessories and Tristar. It hits “3,104.5 Flame, up from 1,750.5. That’s about 77% more Flame,” the post said.

Accessories get a multiplier

The second boost covers three Nightmare accessories: Nightbloom (Ground), Eyewyrm (Air) and Bloodmaw (Cheek).

On an axie with no Nightmare parts or body, an equipped Nightmare accessory earns an extra bonus equal to its normal Flame. If the axie has at least one Nightmare part or body, that extra bonus is three times the accessory’s normal Flame.

That pairing rule explains why accessory volume moved so much faster than axie sales. Accessories pay out more only when they sit on a Nightmare axie.

Locked while staked

Plots activated in Terrariums and the axies assigned to them are locked. They can’t be listed, transferred or sold on the App.Axie marketplace while they’re active.

So the 22,000-plus Nightmare axies already placed in Terrariums are off the market for as long as their owners keep them there.

In an Oct. 14 recap, the team said it may rotate boosts between axie types so each week plays differently if this test succeeds.

Background

Terrariums replaced Homeland, the earlier land game that Sky Mavis shut down. It went live in June, with the first earning tick on June 19 at 07:00 UTC.

Players activate land plots and assign axies to them. A plot’s output depends on its Atia’s Flame, which is set by axie rarity, and on Lunium, an internal fuel that can’t be traded. Mystic axies produce 200 times more Flame than common ones.

Local Lunium regenerates for free over about five days. Global Lunium is bought with bAXS, AXS, USDC or WETH, and Sky Mavis has said revenue from those sales goes toward strengthening the ecosystem, including buying axies.

Plots pay out bAXS every hour. Each plot’s share depends on how strong it is compared with competing plots in the same land category.

Sky Mavis called the current release Version 1, with land items, accessories and deeper utility planned for later versions.

The Halloween event overlaps with Axie Infinity Origins Season 19, which entered its Epic Era on Oct. 14. The Mystic Era is scheduled to start Oct. 28.

The Axie blog post closed with one line for owners: “Give your Nightmares their turn at the Shrine.”
