Go show the new game some love and help us welcome a new group of players
“A lot of work went into getting our next game across the finish line, and now it’s time to get it into players’ hands,” the post said. “Play now on browser or @Steam and let us know what you think.”
What’s in the game
The Steam listing names Invo Tech Inc. as developer and Wagyu Games LLC as publisher. It gives a release date of Oct. 29, 2026, and the game isn’t in early access.
Ship Busters is free to play with optional in-app purchases. It runs on Windows 10 64-bit or later and macOS 12.0 Monterey or later, with English interface, audio and subtitles.
Ships don’t have health bars. Players break them apart piece by piece instead, targeting enemy guns, bringing down masts or firing a broadside. The store page tagline reads: “Sink ships the hard way, one plank at a time. Arc your shot, tear the sails, set the deck alight, then charge every gun on the flank and fire them as one.”
The game has eight ammunition types, including round shot, chain, hotshot and harpoons. Players can build custom cannons from 12 sets, each with its own stat bonuses.
Content at launch includes a seven-sea campaign, a Gauntlet mode and daily challenges. Steam tags list both PvE and PvP.
Road to release
Ship Busters took part in Steam Next Fest from Oct. 19 to 26 with a free demo. Wagyu Games said its “Captains” helped test a private beta before then.
The Steam page showed no user reviews shortly after launch.
The Undead Blocks connection
The Undead Blocks account framed the launch as part of a wider plan. “For the Undead Blocks community, this is also the first step toward the broader Invo Tech ecosystem we’ve been building toward,” the account said on X.
“Go show the new game some love and help us welcome a new group of players,” the post said.
Wagyu Games acquired Undead Blocks from Adonis Software in April 2024. As part of that deal, Wagyu partnered with Invo Technologies, Inc. Kyle Gordon is Wagyu’s CEO.
Invo says its technology gives developers better tools to grow their games and lets players use their digital spending power across multiple games and platforms.
Wagyu Games is based in Lexington, Kentucky. The studio’s launch post ended with a single hashtag: “#ShipBusters”
