AFK Heroes will launch Season 2 of its browser idle RPG on Friday, July 24, and has opened a waitlist for early access, the project said.
The team is pitching the update as a fresh start. “A brand-new AFK Heroes begins. Bigger loot. Deeper systems. Real ownership,” AFK Heroes said in the post announcing the launch. It shared five access codes alongside the announcement.

What’s in the update
Season 2 keeps the current auto-battle loop and stacks new systems on top. It will add Guilds, Crafting, Tournaments, PvP, server-wide zone bosses and a Powerball feature, according to the project.
Everyone starts Season 2 on even footing, the team said. But Season 1 doesn’t reset to zero. Players who keep grinding the current season can lock in permanent buffs that carry into Season 2. A recent teaser previewed Void Abyss gear.
How the game works
AFK Heroes launched on Solana in June. It’s a voxel idle RPG that runs in a browser with no download. Players connect a Phantom or Solflare wallet, send a hero to the map and earn XP, gold, loot and $AFKHERO around the clock, even with the tab closed.
Progression runs through zones. They range from Frozen Spire at level 40 through Molten Foundry up to Singularity Vault at level 90 and above, each with its own boss. Top players earn seasonal leaderboard rewards paid in $AFKHERO.
The token
$AFKHERO launched on pump.fun and has since graduated. Its market cap stood at $64K as of July 3, on a total supply of 1 billion tokens. The token counted 4,158 holders and 944.84 million in circulation.
The project has used player-count figures to argue the token is undervalued. AFK Heroes said it ranks second among most-played Solana games behind PlayKintara, citing roughly 2,000 players against PlayKintara’s 1.2 million.
The game grew out of the idle-RPG wave. The team behind it built the Solana version after Taskbar Hero, an earlier title, reached No. 2 on Steam’s concurrent-player charts.
