The next chapter of Battlestar Galactica won’t come from a writers’ room. It’s coming in a box, and some of it is limited to 500 units.
Master Replicas confirmed that four more Limited Edition Battlestars are in development. They’re due out across the second half of 2026 and into 2027, so the Colonial Fleet on your shelf is about to get bigger again.
The company hasn’t released a full schedule yet. The wording still matters, though: these are four further Battlestars, added to a collection that has already grown considerably over 2026.
Two of the four may already be on sale
Since the July announcement, two likely members of that next wave have turned up. Master Replicas is now selling Limited Edition models of the Cerberus and Prometheus, each capped at 500 units and set to ship in October 2026.
Here’s the deep-cut detail. Neither ship appeared in the original 1978 series. Master Replicas said Cerberus, Prometheus and Solaria were names meant for additional Battlestars if the show had continued.
That puts Solaria at the top of the list for one of the two open slots. The company lumps it in with Cerberus and Prometheus in its own product descriptions, so leaving it out now would be a strange choice.
Count the original fleet and Triton is the obvious gap
The other strong candidate is Triton. Eight Battlestars got a mention at some point in the original series: Galactica, Atlantia, Acropolis, Columbia, Pacifica, Pegasus, Rycon and Triton.
Master Replicas has said before that it plans to release models of all eight. Atlantia already got a 350-piece Limited Edition run. Check off the rest of the list and Triton is the one ship from the original lineup that’s still missing.
How the fleet got this crowded
Earlier this year the company released four ships: the Pacifica, Columbia, Acropolis and Rycon.
Rycon is the one to know about. Several of the other models drew on expanded material, but the Rycon was named in the original television series as Commander Kronus’ ship.
That batch joined Galactica and Pegasus, which were already in the lineup, and filled in more of the larger classic Colonial fleet.
Meanwhile, the TV question is still unresolved
The replicas are arriving while the franchise’s on-screen future is unclear. Peacock dropped its long-gestating new Battlestar Galactica series in 2024, and no major television revival is on the immediate horizon.
Fans have only gotten louder about what a return should look like since then. Some want another complete reimagining. Others want the 2000s continuity left alone and would rather see a show set in a different corner of the universe.
A third camp thinks Ronald D. Moore’s acclaimed series told its story so well that another reboot isn’t necessary, and that any attempt would get hammered by critics and fans alike.
Still, few sci-fi properties have reinvented themselves as well as this one. The 1978 original eventually led to the enormously influential 2003 reboot.
If Master Replicas ever looks beyond the original continuity, there are bolder options. The Valkyrie would be a big pick from the 2004 series, since William Adama commanded it before he took over Galactica. For now, Triton and Solaria fit the company’s classic-fleet plan, and either one could be part of the run that carries the collection into 2027.
