In Brief:

  • Endless Clouds said in Monthly Treeverse (official site) Update #59 that it has finalized an internal deadline for the official Treeverse release, including monetization.
  • The studio won’t share the date until it reaches it, and only then will it start marketing the game.
  • The October update reworks durability and repairs, adds PvP matchmaking in Levantos to development builds and brings new mobile controls and automated gameplay tests.

Endless Clouds has set an internal deadline for the official release of Treeverse. It isn’t telling players what the date is.

The studio announced the decision in Monthly Treeverse Update #59, published Oct. 31 on its Substack. It said the team “always had our date to aim towards something, but it’s been finalised including things like monetization and so on.”

“As usual, we won’t share until we reach it, and then start to market it,” Endless Clouds said.

What the release includes

The studio said the official release will be a full gameplay loop with a bunch of content, items, side quests and things for players to do.

It also said most of the remaining time goes into polish. “A lot of this work isn’t a create and launch. Some of these things we have polished and polished and polished. Most of the time goes towards that, not just creation of a feature,” Endless Clouds said.

Durability and repairs reworked

The biggest design change this month is to equipment wear. Weapon wear now counts once per skill cast that deals damage, not once per hit. The studio said that makes wear more predictable for attacks that hit repeatedly or strike several enemies.

The durability death penalty is gone. And the HUD now has an equipment-condition indicator.

Repair screens show material and gold requirements more clearly. Repair consumables got their own screen for picking which equipment to restore.

Enhancements and equipment sets picked up new supporting logic and an early inspection interface. It shows enhancement slots and set bonuses, which turn on as players equip the required number of matching pieces. Endless Clouds said that work is still being developed and tested.

PvP matchmaking reaches Levantos

In Levantos, the PvP master now gives access to matchmaking in development builds. Match handling was updated to support ranked and custom play, and eligible results count toward quests and achievements.

The leaderboard interface isn’t done yet.

Mobile, quests and Hall of Daggers

Mobile players get a floating movement stick and revised ability aiming that better tells taps apart from drags. Storage transfers have clearer controls. Quest windows now show current objectives and progress.

Hall of Daggers added visible floor tracking and achievements tied to the highest floor cleared.

On audio, the team filled in missing hurt vocals for several creatures and refined Golem ability and trap sounds.

Engineering fixes

The server selector now shows each region’s ping. If a player hasn’t saved a preference, it picks the lowest-ping option, and existing choices stay as they are.

On mobile, the team removed an extra disconnect check that could cut off a session after the app came back from the background.

Engineers fixed an issue that kept unused assets in memory and removed blocking waits from UI image loading. Other changes covered audio loading, networked objects, animation timing and optimizations to talent and stat calculations.

Work on the portal continued with hosting preparation and better sign-in reliability. The previous update, #58, said the first version of the Treeverse web portal had been added with account sign-in, character information and leaderboards, and that it would need further deployment and access validation.

Automated tests and next steps

New automated gameplay checks can follow repeatable routes through town and use the inventory. One test confirms a potion is consumed once and that its healing result matches between client and server.

Next, the studio plans to test enhancements, set bonuses, durability and repairs together across a full play session. It also needs to finish the Levantos leaderboard interface.

Endless Clouds said it can build on the new tests to check longer sessions with equipment changes, menu use and travel between areas, which can help it find interruptions and guide the next round of tuning.

The update ends with the studio’s standard disclaimer: “NFTs are a new and highly experimental technology and should not be bought for investment purposes.”
