Loyalty airdrop announced
MetaKing Studios has initiated a loyalty airdrop for the LRDS token, allowing players of the medieval strategy MMO BLOCKLORDS to claim tokens. Each qualifying account can secure a share based on their in-game activity, such as playtime and spending. The claim window remains active via the LORDCHAIN portal at lordchain.blocklords.com.
Claiming requires signing in, connecting an Ethereum wallet, and selecting the amount to claim. Once acquired, tokens can be locked in the Node Reward Program for additional rewards.
A shift in focus
The launch of the airdrop highlights LRDS’s new role as the operational backbone of the recently rebranded BLOCKLORE. This transition was announced on August 6, 2026, as MetaKing Studios closed BLOCKLORDS to pivot toward AI generation capabilities. The closure occurred just four months post-release on Steam, where the game garnered a 35 percent positive rating from 65 reviews.
MetaKing stated, “BLOCKLORDS is now BLOCKLORE. We are closing the game. But don’t worry, we’re launching something even bigger.” No official server closure date or token roadmap details were provided during this transition.
What LRDS represents
The LRDS token debuted with a total supply of 100 million, which is distributed under a ten-year vesting schedule. Of this, 36 percent supports community initiatives, while 31 percent is allocated for investors. The original utility of LRDS encompassed gameplay rewards and governance participation. Previous airdrops included 300,000 LRDS, structured similarly to the current loyalty offering.
At the time of the transition announcement, LRDS had a market cap of about 1.15 million USD, with 54 million tokens circulating.
The infrastructure behind it
LORDCHAIN serves as the Layer 3 network on Base, designed for security and scalability within the BLOCKLORDS ecosystem. This network logs game activities and was integral to the airdrop claim process. The staking mechanism, launched in December 2024, allows users to lock LRDS for various rewards, including governance tokens.
Locking tokens can provide dynamic APR and eligibility for exclusive airdrops, which have previously included Hero NFTs and rare items.
A look back at BLOCKLORDS
BLOCKLORDS enabled players to build lineages in a persistent medieval game world, focused on resource management and territory control. Development began in 2018, achieving a wide audience with its Steam launch in March 2026.
For players who invested time or resources into the game, the loyalty airdrop serves as a recognition of their contributions, allowing them to carry their accrued tokens into the next phase of the project.
