Champions Arena is a turn-based squad battler built around collectible champions, with its asset layer running on Ethereum. The loop is the familiar one for the genre: assemble a roster, weigh each champion's abilities against an opponent's, and grind ranked ladder placement for rewards and rare item drops. It is distributed through Gala Games' app portal rather than as a standalone client, which shapes a lot of the experience — account setup, wallet handling, and asset ownership route through that platform, so it is not a game you can meaningfully evaluate apart from its publisher's ecosystem.

What works, at least on paper, is the fit between format and chain: turn-based combat is one of the few genres where on-chain ownership of units does not fight the moment-to-moment gameplay. Where it is thinner is specificity. The material available on the game leans on generic descriptors — powerful champions, strategic arena, climb the leaderboard — without pinning down team sizes, ability systems, matchmaking, or how upgrades actually consume assets.
