What is Engines of Fury?

Engines of Fury is a free-to-play top-down extraction shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by a mutant plague. Players are survivors working out of Stoneport, humanity's last bastion, and every run is a raid into the wasteland to scavenge materials, rare loot and hidden supplies — and then, crucially, to get back out alive. The studio's own summary is blunt about the stakes: allies are few, enemies are everywhere. The game runs on a single deflationary token, $FURY, alongside NFT items.

How to play Engines of Fury

The extraction loop is the whole game. You drop in with whatever gear you are willing to lose, fight grotesque mutants and other players competing for the same salvage, and then have to reach an extraction point before you are killed — dying means losing what you were carrying. Between runs you invest in a persistent hideout, upgrading it to improve your gear and your odds on the next mission. Character progression runs through a wide pool of active and passive abilities rather than fixed classes, so builds are shaped by playstyle: stealthy scavenger, heavy brawler, or something in between.

What makes Engines of Fury different

Extraction shooters live or die on how much a run costs you, and Engines of Fury pushes that further than most by putting the loot on-chain — items pulled out of the wasteland are tradable assets, so a failed extraction has a market value attached to it. The setting is the other half of the appeal: rather than the military-realism aesthetic most extraction shooters use, this is body horror and mutant plague, wrapped around Stoneport's story of a civilisation making its final stand.
