In Brief:
- Gigaverse (official site) told players using Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) to connect by Nov. 15, 2026, prove ownership of that wallet and link a new, non-AGW wallet.
- Players also have until Nov. 15 to claim prizes from past events. Withdrawals and redemptions on the game’s redeem page pause that day at 18:00 UTC.
- The deadline comes one month before Abstract shuts down on Dec. 15. Gigaverse is moving ROMs to Ethereum and plans to launch Gigaverse Online on Robinhood Chain.
Gigaverse has given players who log in with Abstract Global Wallet until Nov. 15, 2026, to move their accounts to a different wallet before Abstract goes dark.
“Urgent Deadlines: Abstract Chain is winding down Dec 15th. Claim prior event prizes and connect a non-AGW wallet before November 15th, 2026,” the studio posted on X.

Abstract Global Wallet users in Gigaverse must connect by November 15th, 2026, prove ownership of their AGW, and connect a new, non-AGW
AGW users have to connect by that date, prove ownership of their AGW and connect a new wallet that isn’t an AGW, Gigaverse said.
Redemptions pause Nov. 15
The game’s redeem page carries the same cutoff. “Withdrawals and redemptions pause Sunday, November 15, 18:00 UTC,” the page reads.
Gigabit stays in user balances after the pause for future redemption on Ethereum mainnet, according to the page. Until then, players can use it to turn Hard Cores into Hard Core boxes, claim Gigabit from Void Chips and Gigus Candles, and withdraw Gigabit and in-game USDC to their wallets as USDC.
The wallet link matters because an AGW address may not work, or may not be controlled by the same user, on another chain. Abstract has warned that sending assets to an unsupported network or an incompatible address may result in permanent loss.
Abstract’s wind-down
Abstract announced on Oct. 6 that it would close the network on Dec. 15, 2026. “After almost three years, we are saddened to share that Abstract is winding down,” the team posted on X. Funds that aren’t bridged by the shutdown date will be inaccessible.
Igloo Inc., parent company of Pudgy Penguins PENGU $0.007711 ▼ -5%, built the chain. Abstract cited “thin liquidity, a limited DeFi ecosystem and weak institutional crossover” as reasons for closing, even after onboarding more than 400,000 users and hosting 144 applications at its peak.
Luca Netz, Pudgy Penguins CEO and an Igloo co-founder, said the company lost “tens of millions of dollars” funding the network over 18 months. Igloo chose not to launch an Abstract token and is putting its resources into Pudgy Penguins and PENGU instead.
Users can bridge out through the Migration Hub at migrate.abs.xyz or the native bridge at native-bridge.abs.xyz, which has a delay of about three hours. The hub also lists Stargate, Relay and Jumper. Abstract’s engineering and ecosystem teams have said they’ll help apps move to other networks.
Where Gigaverse goes next
Gigaverse has already finished its run on Abstract. Its last event, The Awakening, ran for about 60 days, ended Oct. 9 and had a prize pool of more than $30,000. Close to 6,000 accounts made the final standings.
The game is now offline and its legacy contracts are being shut down. ROMs will move from Abstract to Ethereum under a plan the studio calls ROMs 2.0, and plans for Giglings and Giganames are due to follow.
Founder 0xDith said the studio’s MMORPG, Gigaverse Online, will launch on Robinhood Chain. He pointed to the chain’s liquidity, the reputation of the company behind it and the lack of XP farming. No launch date has been confirmed.
Players will have to log into Gigaverse Online with their legacy wallet to reclaim Awakening rewards and their Giganame. Giganames stay reserved for three months after the game opens, and the old prize pool is being turned into a “gacha experience that rewards in USDC.”
