Terms 17
- God
One of six factions: Light, Death, Nature, War, Magic and Deception. A deck takes cards of one god plus neutral cards in most formats.
- Neutral
Cards that belong to no god. Any deck can include them.
- Mana
The cost to play a card. The mana curve of a deck counts how many cards cost each amount.
- Rarity
Common, rare, epic, legendary and mythic. In most formats a deck may hold one legendary card.
- Tribe
A creature family printed on some cards, such as Viking, Olympian or Dragon. About half the cards have none.
- Set
A release of cards, such as Core, Genesis or Reckoning. Formats allow or ban whole sets.
- God power
The power your god gives you in a match. Stored in the card list as cards of the type god power.
- Proto (prototype)
The API term for a card design with its fixed stats and text. A card you own is a copy of a proto.
- Collectable
A flag in the card list. Cards marked not collectable cannot be collected as ordinary cards.
- Standard
A format that bans the older sets. The rules come from the game API; see the Formats page for the list.
- Ranked
The ladder mode with a rating and a rank level. Our win rate pages use it for card statistics.
- Conquest
A mode described by the game as a high-stakes gauntlet: play 5 games with your own deck and earn rewards by wins.
- Sealed
A mode described by the game as play for prizes using decks built from a rotating selection of cards.
- Singleton
A community format that allows one copy of any card.
- Pauper
A format that allows only common cards.
- Match sample
The set of finished games our win rate pages count: twenty minutes of every hour, so a sample and not every game.
- Win rate range (95%)
The Wilson interval around a win rate. A wide range means too few games to be sure.

Terms about cards (rarity, tribe, set, proto, collectable, god power) describe fields of the Gods Unchained public card list. Terms about formats and modes describe the game's mode list; the quoted summaries of Conquest and Sealed are the game's own descriptions. Definitions of the match sample and the win rate range explain how this site computes its figures, see god win rates.
