Maxion ships Rachel and Ice Cave episode to Ragnarok Online Landverse America

In Brief:

• Maxion shipped an Oct. 8 gameplay update to Ragnarok Online Landverse America, headlined by Episode 11.1, the Sacred Precinct of Goddess, Rachel and Ice Cave.
• The patch adds 22 cards to the OCA pool along with Battle Pass SS10: Eclipse, NOVA Battleground SS4, a Rachel Sanctuary support event and a NOVA Treasure 5 item update.
• It’s the fourth Americas patch since mid-August and the first to break the two-week cadence, landing four weeks after the Sept. 10 update.

Maxion pushed a gameplay update to Ragnarok Online Landverse America on Oct. 8, with Episode 11.1, the Sacred Precinct of Goddess, Rachel and Ice Cave, as the headline item.

The announcement went out through the game’s X account with a link and no summary. That’s the format the publisher used for the Aug. 13, Aug. 27 and Sept. 10 patches, each routing players to the news portal at news.rola.maxion.gg for the full notes.

Oct. 8 lands four weeks after Sept. 10. The two intervals before that ran 14 days each.

What’s in the patch

Beyond the episode, the notes list an OCA card expansion, a collection update, a Show Your Support For Rachel Sanctuary event, NOVA Battleground SS4, Battle Pass SS10: Eclipse and a NOVA Treasure 5 Item Update 1. Two bug fixes close the list. Each block links to its own article on the portal.

22 cards join the OCA pool

The card expansion adds 22 cards: five weapon, nine armor, three shield, two garment, two headgear and one accessory.

The weapon cards lean on property and size matchups. Anacondaq raises damage against Poison property monsters by 20%. Desert Wolf adds 15% damage against Small monsters plus 5 ATK, and Drosera gives CRI +15 on long ranged physical attacks.

Casters get Hill Wind, a 5% damage boost to Thunderstorm, Jupitel Thunder and Lord of Vermilion that drains 50 SP when the weapon is unequipped. Driller pays 5 SP per Dragon monster killed with a physical melee attack and takes 5 SP back on unequip.

Armor carries trade-offs. Agav gives MATK +5% and Max SP +100 for Mage class characters at a cost of 10 DEF. Echio adds 15 ATK, plus 500 MaxHP for Swordman classes. Skogul rolls a high chance of Bleeding onto the wearer and the attacking enemy alike.

Frus reflects magic at a success rate of twice the compounded armor’s upgrade level, capped at upgrade level 10, and adds MDEF +3 for Mages. Archdam adds 10 ATK while slowing variable casting by 20%, and anchors a Crusader set with the Permeter, Freezer and Heater cards. The set bonus adds Int +1, Str +1, DEF +2 and 10% SP recovery, raises Rapid Smiting and Martyr’s Reckoning damage by 10% and speeds variable casting by 10%, with the armor turning Holy for Crusaders and Paladins.

Headgear splits between burst and casting. Vanberk gives Str +2 with a chance of CRI +100 for 5 seconds on each attack. Isilla gives Int +2 and a chance, on each magic attack, to cut variable casting time by half and add 30 Flee for 5 seconds.

Shield options skew defensive. Hodremlin cuts damage from Small, Mid and Large monsters by 15% and can add Perfect Dodge +30 for 10 seconds when the wearer takes physical or magic damage. Seeker grants MDEF +10, use of Lv.1 Stone Curse and 30% tolerance to the status.

The Aliza card rounds out the armor list. It gives a chance of autocasting Charming Wink each time the wearer is physically attacked, a chance the notes put at 10% for Dancer class characters.

Seasons and events

Battle Pass SS10 runs under the name Eclipse. NOVA Battleground SS4 starts alongside it, and the collection system expands in the same patch.

Two fixes

The Red Lantern description is corrected. Valkyrie Armor [1] (Tier 5) also gains Landstone options and 5-line options.

How ROLA got here

ROLA launched Dec. 18, 2025 across Latin America and North America under a license from Gravity Co., Ltd. (NasdaqGM: GRVY), a week after its Dec. 11 target slipped. Maxion publishes and operates the service, which runs on Ronin. Ronin opened an Alpha Zone for the game on Aug. 20, listing prototype maps, new story quests and a Baphomet attempt among the draws.

The patch arrived three days after a seasonal tournament server opened on the Americas shard. That event runs through Nov. 4, with Nova Keys, emblem bags and Adamantine Blessing among the ranked rewards.
