In Brief:

  • Nexpace completed its Q3 2026 NXPC burn, permanently removing 3.162 million tokens.
  • The burn brings total NXPC destroyed since the program began to 14.812 million across five cycles.
  • Burns are sized at 20% of MapleStory Universe (official site) revenue from user activity, under a policy Nexpace introduced in November 2025.

Nexpace burned 3.162 million NXPC for the third quarter of 2026. That lifts the total destroyed since the program launched to 14.812 million tokens.

The company announced the burn in a post on X and linked to a disclosure on its website. The disclosure’s web address labels it the fifth NXPC burn.

Things have been busy in the Universe.
Here’s another 3.162M $NXPC burned to show for it.

“This quarter’s burn reflects continued activity across the MSU ecosystem as we keep building for long-term growth,” Nexpace said in the post.

How the burn is sized

Each burn equals 20% of the revenue the MSU ecosystem earns from user activity. That means fees from actions such as in-game enhancement and marketplace trades. Treasury operations, grants and outside financing don’t count toward the total.

Burned tokens go to the standard burn address, 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, on the Henesys chain. Henesys has no native burn function, so tokens sent to that address can’t be recovered.

Nexpace committed to publishing a public report with on-chain proof of the transaction after every burn.

Five cycles so far

The first burn landed Nov. 27, 2025, and removed 3,840,417.39021874 NXPC. Those tokens were worth $1.65 million at the time. It covered two full quarters, Q2 and Q3 of 2025, when user activity brought in 19,202,087 NXPC.

That first cycle took out about 0.38% of total supply and 1.7% of circulating supply.

The second cycle burned 1.61 million NXPC. Then came the third on May 21, 2026, which used Q1 revenue and removed about 2.88 million tokens. The fourth, on July 16, used Q2 revenue and removed about 3.33 million.

That July figure was the largest yet. On June 24, Nexpace reposted a community account noting the quarter’s burn amount had already passed 3,000,000 NXPC. Most of it came from Mapler Shop revenue during the 1st Universary promotion, which ran from May 14 to June 10.

The new Q3 burn comes in below July’s total but above every other cycle except the first.

First-half numbers

Nexpace’s first-half 2026 report, released Sept. 9, put protocol revenue for the period at 30.98 million NXPC. Players received 28.14 million NXPC in gameplay rewards over the same stretch.

Cumulative protocol revenue reached 58.22 million NXPC as of June 30. Around 95% of revenue came from voluntary player spending on item enhancement and synthesis, the company said.

The MSU Marketplace logged 2.74 million transactions in the half, totaling about 32.1 million NXPC in volume. Nexpace counted 855,500 wallets created since launch. Of those, 564,700, or 66%, had made on-chain transactions.

In the report, Nexpace said it intends to keep allocating 20% of quarterly revenue to NXPC burns.

Buyback runs separately

Burns aren’t the only supply lever. In May 2026, Nexpace announced an NXPC buyback program of up to $10 million.

But bought-back tokens aren’t destroyed. Nexpace holds them in its treasury for future ecosystem use.

NXPC has a total supply of 1 billion tokens. About 225 million, or 22.5%, were circulating at launch.

The MapleStory Universe account quoted Nexpace’s announcement with a two-line post. “Things have been busy in the Universe. Here’s another 3.162M $NXPC burned to show for it,” it said.
