NEXUS plans to expand its work with the DMCC Gaming Centre and other global partners at gamescom, the company said, building on the games, AI and blockchain pitch it brought to ChinaJoy in Shanghai.
gamescom runs Aug. 26 through 30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne. NEXUS will set up a NEXUS Hub inside a unified pavilion of Dubai government bodies organized around DMCC, where it plans to introduce its acceleration program for global game studios and look for new partners.
Games, AI and blockchain on one platform — that was the direction NEXUS brought to Shanghai.

DMCC and Dubai government agencies are participating with a large integrated pavilion. Dubai ran a similar setup at gamescom 2025 with the Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and DMCC.
What the program offers
The DMCC Gaming Centre and NEXUS unveiled the acceleration program July 16 at PLAY THE FUTURE, a conference the two co-hosted at DMCC’s Uptown Tower headquarters in Dubai. About 100 people attended, including local IT firms, game studios, investors, institutional officials and regulatory experts.
DMCC describes two tracks. Co-publishing is aimed at studios ready to scale, and Web3 onboarding at teams earlier in the process. Both carry zero upfront cost, with NEXUS funding infrastructure and marketing investment and recovering through revenue share.
Selected studios get on-chain infrastructure onboarding, distribution through ONE store and joint publishing opportunities, plus support on tokenomics design, regulatory structuring, marketing and global publishing. ONE store has 38 million registered users.
The program builds on a partnership formalized Oct. 8, under which DMCC recognizes NEXUS as a gaming ecosystem cooperation partner, provides joint marketing and networking help, connects the company to government bodies, VCs, exchanges and incubators, and supplies office space in Uptown Tower. NEXUS set up its Dubai subsidiary, NEXUS HUB FZCO, in April.
“Blockchain is a digital financial infrastructure that streamlines payments and settlements,” said Kim Jae-young, head of the NEXUS Dubai office, adding that the combination of gaming, AI and blockchain will expand into a new industrial ecosystem within the digital economy.
The Cologne lineup
NEXUS plans a joint event with the Blockchain Game Alliance at gamescom. The alliance has scheduled a ONEchain demo of an AI-native gaming economy in Cologne on Aug. 26, featuring autonomous agents that “compete, create, trade and earn on-chain.”
Carrying that pitch is ClawRoyale, an agent battle royale in the NEXUS stack, with matches fought across a 210-tile hex map. The game cleared 16 million cumulative participating agents within two months of launch, and NEXUS CEO Jang Hyun-guk called agent gaming “a world-first for Nexus.”
The demo lands on day one of the show and the same day as The Agent AI Summit, subtitled “Architecting Autonomous Worlds,” listed for 11:00 to 16:00. It follows the AI & Agentics Council the BGA formed with Deloitte and DMCC to set rules for agents that hold wallets and execute transactions without human confirmation. Xsolla, SKALE, The Sandbox and WAM are the other founding partners.
Europe gets a different sales angle than China. NEXUS says the market is less resistant to Web3 and has a strong appetite for entering Korea, so the company plans to position ONE store as a distribution channel that lowers the review burden of the two dominant app markets and gives European developers Korean and Asian reach without a local publisher.
Shanghai came first
ChinaJoy 2026 ran July 31 through Aug. 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. NEXUS and DMCC ran a B2B booth there, an idea that came from a DMCC proposal as the agency courts Chinese game companies.
The NEXUS brand stayed off the signage. “Given the regulatory environment surrounding Web3 in China, we were cautious about putting the NEXUS brand front and center, so we decided to utilize the acquired ‘ONE store’ brand instead,” Kim said.
The booth pitched Chinese developers on Dubai’s high-ARPPU user base, offering co-publishing and platform onboarding. In China the company describes a flexible three-track approach adding general mobile distribution through ONE store to the two Dubai tracks.
Background
NEXUS took control of ONE store in June, when its board approved buying 20,247,990 shares, an 89.03% stake, for about 62.6 billion won. Sellers included SK Square at 45.78%, Naver at 24.06%, Steel Number One First at 17.02% and Krafton at 2.17%, with SK Square, Naver and Krafton coming in as strategic investors in NEXUS.
The company then renamed the CROSS mainnet ONEchain, converted $CROSS to $ONE and set $ONEUSD as the ecosystem’s common unit. First-half revenue was 17.42 billion won, up 9.4% year on year, with net profit of 5 billion won.
DMCC launched its Gaming Centre in 2022 with just over 50 companies. It now houses more than 150, sitting inside a wider DMCC ecosystem of over 4,000 technology firms.
“The NEXUS and ONE store teams are actively scouting titles for onboarding to the Korean market, and I understand that a few contracts have already been finalized on-site,” Kim said.
