ONEchain will demo an AI-native gaming economy at Gamescom in Cologne on Aug. 26, the Blockchain Game Alliance said, with autonomous agents that “compete, create, trade and earn on-chain.” BGA posted a registration link for the session.
The date puts it on the show’s first day. Gamescom 2026 runs Aug. 26 to 30 at Koelnmesse and opens with a trade and media day; general visitors get in from 1 p.m. only on a premium Wildcard ticket. Opening Night Live airs the evening before, and the co-located gamescom dev conference wraps Aug. 25.

What ONEchain is bringing
The pitch rests on ClawRoyale, the agent battle royale NEXUS runs as the top layer of its stack. Matches play out on a 210-tile hex map. Agents earn $Moltz and ONE, issue their own ERC-20 tokens and take sponsorships from spectators watching in real time.
Molty NFTs serve as the agents’ on-chain identities. Free rooms pay out sMoltz, which agents spend as entry fees for premium rooms.
The game passed 16 million cumulative participating agents within two months of launch. “Agent gaming is a world-first for Nexus, and it’s currently performing the best,” NEXUS CEO Jang Hyun-kook said.
Two other pieces sit alongside it. ONE Claw converts natural-language instructions into DEX trades, token forging, NFT market actions, rewards, quests, bridging and staking. NEXUS AI Labs, the in-house group working on multi-agent coordination, on-chain learning and economy simulation, is listed as coming soon.
The chain underneath
ONEchain is the former CROSS mainnet. NEXUS renamed it and swapped the $CROSS ticker for $ONE. “Today, CROSS becomes ONE,” the project said, describing it as the same chain, same token, same team under one name.
The ecosystem’s common unit is $ONEUSD. The Gametoken DEX has priced and settled every pair in ONEUSD since July 9.
ONEchain runs a full EVM stack on Cancun/Prague with PoSA+BLS consensus. Mainnet 2.0 has shipped and holds close to 2 million accounts.
The distribution play
NEXUS’s board approved the purchase of 20,247,990 ONEstore shares, an 89.03% stake, for about 62.6 billion won, or roughly $40.74 million. The company announced the deal June 18.
SK Square sold 45.78%, Naver 24.06%, Steel Number One First 17.02% and Krafton 2.17%. SK Square, Naver and Krafton came back in as strategic investors in NEXUS.
ONEstore sits on more than 38 million devices in Korea and ranks second in the country by game transaction value. It signed on as a validator on Mainnet 2.0 in July, the third after H Lab and CertiK.
Jang framed the acquisition as a route around the app store gatekeepers. Launching Web3 games on Google‘s and Apple’s stores forces changes to parts of the service that damage user experience, he said, and an independent, stable distribution channel matters more as AI drives a flood of Web3 games.
NEXUS unveiled nine games for ONE on July 7 across MMORPG, SLG, collectible RPG and TCG genres. Frost Kingdom, its first self-published title, headlines the list.
Why BGA is hosting it
The alliance has been building toward agent economies for months. It published “Agentic AI in Gaming and the Emerging Digital Economy” in April, a six-section report covering infrastructure constraints, agents inside live game environments, payments and KYC, and legal and operational realities. The report argued that automated actors need an identity layer at the agent level, separate from KYC or KYB.
BGA then formed the AI and Agentics Council with Deloitte and Dubai free zone DMCC, with Xsolla, SKALE, The Sandbox and WAM as founding partners. The council is writing governance rules for agents that hold wallets and transact without human approval on every action.
BGA was founded in 2018 and says it brings together more than 250 game studios and blockchain companies. Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox, has been president since 2020.
NEXUS, for its part, reported 2025 revenue of about 36.7 billion won and operating profit of about 950 million won.
