Soneium Score Season 3 is now live, providing a fresh 28-day engagement period for users to interact with Sony’s L2 chain. This season builds upon two successful previous seasons, which saw participation from over 90,000 users and facilitated approximately 53 million transactions. The platform now introduces additional partners and refined scoring metrics to maintain a dynamic and rewarding system.
Understanding the Scoring System
The Soneium Score serves as a proof-of-contribution platform, converting blockchain actions into measurable reputation within its ecosystem. It is built to recognize and incentivize user activity across various protocols like DeFi, gaming, and NFTs on Sony’s network. The scoring is segmented into four key categories: Activity Score tracks the frequency and consistency of transactions, Liquidity Score reflects the user’s impact on total value locked (TVL), NFT Score benefits holders of specific NFT collections, and Bonus Score is granted for interactions with featured partner projects.
What’s New This Season?
In its third iteration, the Soneium Score expands on its previous success by establishing collaborations with major partners, including Stargate Finance, Zombie Idle Defense, Sonova NFT Marketplace, and the Soneium Community Quest hosted by Layer3. These partnerships are designed to diversify the type of interactions that count towards the overall scoring.
Also introduced in the third season are expanded NFT categories, including 19 additional ecosystem NFTs and one new Sony NFT. These additions aim to make it simpler for both new and returning participants to reach the necessary threshold of 80 points for earning the Season 3 exclusive NFT (SBT) badge.
Process of Earning and Minting Badges
Upon achieving a score of 80 or higher, participants will unlock the opportunity to mint the Season 3 SBT Badge. This badge is a soulbound token, meaning it is non-transferable and permanently linked to the user’s wallet, serving as a testament to their engagement within the Soneium ecosystem.
The minting process is designed to be fair and smooth, occurring in two stages:
- Stage 1: For addresses scoring between 84 and 100, minting starts first and continues for two weeks.
- Stage 2: Addresses scoring between 80 and 83 will have their minting phase commence immediately after Stage 1 concludes.
How to Participate
Anyone interested in joining can participate by visiting the Soneium’s official website and connecting their wallet, which enables automatic tracking of activities across the supported protocols. Points can be earned by performing consistent transactions, adding liquidity to eligible protocols, holding approved NFTs, and participating in special activities arranged by Season 3 partners.
