European Nights returns with new competitions
Sorare is reintroducing its European Nights, a series of fantasy sports competitions centered on major club tournaments in Europe. The format features Champion and Contender streak boards, with Champion boards starting September 8 and Contender boards following on September 16. Both will conclude on November 6.
The streak boards operate on score thresholds rather than head-to-head rankings. There are six levels, with increasing point requirements: Level 1 begins at 350 points and caps at 500 points for Level 6. Rewards grow significantly at higher levels, with payouts reaching into the thousands for the top tier. Prizes are awarded in ETH, SOL, or cash, depending on Cash Wallet activation in each jurisdiction.
This new structure alters how managers strategize week-to-week. Instead of competing solely against others, the focus shifts to meeting specific score targets. Achieving thresholds earns rewards regardless of other managers’ performance.
Scoring advantages
European Boosted Cards feature a scoring bonus of up to 10 percent for players participating in the competitions. Super Rare and Unique cards retain their functionality in the existing Arena format, maintaining separate leaderboards. Classic competitions coexist with European Nights, giving managers with older cards the chance to participate.
Sorare operates on a fixed scarcity model for its cards: Limited at 1,000, Rare at 100, Super Rare at 10, and Unique at one. This system ensures a viable secondary market and meaningful tier distinctions during competitions.
