Terrariums V1.1 goes live, putting Axie accessories and land items into the bAXS payout math

Terrariums V1.1 is live, and the assets sitting idle in Axie wallets now change how much bAXS a plot earns.

Ronin announced the release on X. “Decorate your Terrariums with Land Items, equip Accessories, use Fortune Slips, and grow your Atia’s Flame,” the account said. CoinMarketCal lists the release date as July 22.

In V1, land had one job: mine bAXS every hour off the axies sent to the shrine, with rarity deciding almost everything. Accessories, collected items and slips contributed nothing.

How the Flame math changed

The calculation now runs at two levels. An individual axie’s Flame is its base value by rarity, plus an evolved part boost, plus an accessory boost.

The plot then sums the Flame of every axie working the shrine and multiplies it. Sky Mavis published the formula as: Plot’s Flame = round down [Total of all working axies’ Flame × (1 + % Land Item Boost) × (1 + Fortune Slips Buff)].

That distinction matters because the plot-level multipliers lift every axie on the plot at once. Each land category pays out a fixed pool of bAXS every hour, split between plots by Flame share. Bring 5% of the category’s Flame, take 5% of the pool.

Land items get a job

Up to eight land items can be placed per plot. Each raises Flame according to rarity, and each also raises AXP earning potential, climbing from 1% at Common to 4% at Mystic.

Environment decides how far the boost goes. The stated formula is: % Land Item Boost = (Total % Boost of Matching Environment Items × Environment Multiplier) + Total % Boost of Remaining Items.

Genesis and Luna‘s Landing owners get the multiplier on everything regardless of the item’s environment. Everyone else earns it by matching. Mismatched items still count at their base boost.

Sky Mavis worked an example: three Forest items totaling 1.65% trigger a ×1.2 multiplier and come to 1.98%, three other items add their base 1.6%, and the plot lands on a 3.58% Land Item Boost applied to every axie at the shrine.

Accessories and slips

Players can equip five accessories per axie. The boost scales with both the axie’s collection and the accessory’s rarity. A Mystic axie with a Mystic accessory adds 9 Flame. A Normal axie with a Common accessory adds 0.1.

At the shrine, accessories add Flame. While an axie rests, they add AXP by rarity instead.

Fortune Slips buy a flat 10% Flame buff that runs 24 hours. Buying more doesn’t stack the bonus, it extends the clock, with each purchase adding another 24 hours. The buff starts immediately rather than waiting for the next tick, and it decays on its own.

Activation cost scales with land rarity, running from three slips on a Savannah plot to 2,880 on Luna’s Landing.

Evolved part benefits went live a week earlier, on July 15. Rarer pairings give more Flame per part, and concentration pays: five evolved parts on a single axie hit a ×1.45 multiplier and stack their Flame, while one part each across five axies stays at ×1.0. Evolved collectible parts also generate more Fortune Slips for that axie.

Where V1 landed

Terrariums V1 launched June 17, replacing Homeland, which closed permanently the same day. All land delegation contracts were revoked and withdrawn at sunset.

The loop is unchanged. Activate land, assign axies, burn Lunium each tick, collect bAXS hourly. If a plot runs dry on Lunium, its axies switch from earning bAXS to earning AXP.

Sky Mavis reported roughly 3.32 billion Lunium sold in the opening week for $95,753 in revenue, paid in ETH, USDC, AXS or bAXS. More than half of all plots, 52.8% of 16,886, were activated and locked. The launch drove $520,551 in collectible trading volume and $193,316 in land volume.

A quality-of-life fix shipped July 2, addressing a plot’s Local Lunium pool not regenerating while Global Lunium was in use.

V1.2 is next on the roadmap, with estate multipliers and a multiple collectible parts buff. “V1 is the foundation. Each update ties your collection deeper into how your land earns,” Axie Infinity said in a post on X, adding that the team would share full details as each update nears. No date has been given.

One catch for traders: once a land item is placed and locked, it can’t be listed or sold until the owner removes the lock.
