Flokitar bridge
Mainnet integration for Flokitars is already done, the team said, noting it was completed before testnet in an unusual reversal of the typical rollout order. The holdup is on LayerZero’s side, which had issues supporting Valhalla’s network on testnet specifically.
“There’s also a broader issue on the LayerZero side that’s affecting the timeline for rolling out the bridge, and we’re waiting for that to resolve before pushing the integration live,” the team said.
If the issue persists, Valhalla may run a different system on testnet while keeping LayerZero on mainnet.
Economy first, then competitive
Asked how soon farming, fishing and other features would arrive, the team tied them directly to the economy overhaul. Farming, crafting and an in-game marketplace are all shipping as part of that update.
After those changes land, the focus shifts to competitive play: ranked leaderboards, ranked seasons and tournaments. The team said it doesn’t want to introduce additional assets or change how they work immediately after a large economy restructure.
“We don’t want to add ‘noise’ to the economy by introducing even more assets, or changing the way they work, shortly after the economy underwent such a large change,” the team said.
Bull market readiness
Asked how prepared Valhalla would be if a bull run hit next month, the team’s answer was short: “After the economy overhaul, very ready.”
The team described Valhalla as a flagship project and said it expects activity to pick up once Floki’s market momentum returns. “We’re already seeing signs of NFTs and GameFi gaining some attention here and there,” the team said.
Social features
A friend list, party system and global chat are all in the works. The team flagged chat as the biggest challenge, citing the moderation burden that comes with crypto project communities.
