Seal M on CROSS has entered its fifth season, with publisher CROSS adding a new region, a world boss and a raised level ceiling to the MMORPG four months after its global launch.
CROSS announced the expansion July 20 in a post on X, framing the game’s continued content cadence as a measure of staying power rather than launch-day numbers.
Five seasons deep, and @SealMonCROSS is still expanding — new region, world boss, a higher ceiling.

“Longevity is the real test for a web3 game platform,” the company said.
What the season adds
The update opens a new region, introduces a world boss and lifts the ceiling on character progression. CROSS didn’t detail the region or the boss beyond confirming they’re coming. Seal M’s endgame already leans on field bosses, rift runs and dungeons, the same content players grind for seasonal ranking points.
The seasons have arrived at a steady clip. A Season 3 update previewed in May added second class advancement, letting each first class branch into a more specialized second class.
A fast start
Seal M on CROSS went live worldwide March 19, co-published by PLAYWITH KOREA and NEXUS. The launch followed 2.2 million pre-registrations, with strong sign-up numbers reported across Southeast Asia, including Vietnam and Indonesia. It climbed toward 300,000 daily active users shortly after opening.
The game is a revival of the early-2000s MMORPG Seal Online, rebuilt around a single global server that pools players from every region into one leaderboard. Players pick from seven classes, among them Knights, Mages and Cooks, and level up across the fantasy continent of Shiltz.
How the season economy works
Each season runs on Shiltz Crystal, an in-game resource earned through ranked play. Players bank ranking points by clearing rift, field boss and dungeon content and finishing daily and seasonal Shiltz Pass missions. At the close of a season, a fixed pool of 10 million Shiltz Crystals is split among players by final ranking.
Crystals convert into SHILTZx, the token that buys Ooparts, Seal M’s highest-tier items. The token layer is optional. Players who want a straight MMORPG can clear all core content without touching it.
Inside the CROSS ecosystem
CROSS is the native token of the wider gaming platform, which also runs CROSS Wave, a streamer rewards layer, and CROSS Play, a mission system meant to drive engagement across titles. A launch event handed out 780,000 CROSS tokens for tasks such as reaching a first job advancement and joining a guild. The developers plan to add payment options including Binance Pay.
Seal M isn’t the first title PLAYWITH KOREA and NEXUS have shipped together on CROSS. The two previously co-published R.O.H.A.N.2 Global on the platform.
For returning players, an earlier event called Journey’s and Invitation converted prior Seal M mobile activity into ranking points, with rewards that included pets and costume summon tickets.
