Wilder World opens Satin Passage, bringing player-to-player gear trading to Wiami

Wilder World has opened player-to-player trading in Wiami.

“THE SATIN PASSAGE IS OPEN,” the studio said in a post on X. “Player-to-player trading has arrived in Wiami. List, sell, and buy Season Zero gear for MILD in-game.”

The post didn’t spell out listing fees, escrow mechanics or which gear categories are eligible. It also didn’t say where in Wiami the Satin Passage sits.

MILD, not WILD

The pricing detail matters. Season Zero gear trades in MILD, the currency players gather during runs alongside Shards, and MILD is not the ERC-20 that carries a market price.

MILD first surfaced as a mock currency in the Midnight in Wiami racing mode, used to test the rewards system. Players paid a 1 MILD entry fee, winners took a 10% bonus, losers absorbed a 15% reduction and WROOM kept a 5% commission. Coins also spawned on tracks, and players had to finish the race to keep what they collected.

WILD still handles the settlement layer. At the Neural Station, players bring Shards, spend a small amount of WILD and extract onchain gear from Wilder Packs. Of the WILD spent in the ecosystem, 80% is burned automatically and 20% goes to the DAO treasury.

How Season Zero works

Season Zero: The Invasion launched June 26 through the studio’s ZINE publication, and it was the first structured gameplay loop inside Wiami.

Players fight off invading forces while extracting MILD and Shards. The deeper the run, the better the haul and the worse the downside. Dying in Wiami costs a player their equipped loadout, the WILD earned in that session and their gear.

That’s what makes a resale market useful. Players who don’t want to carry loot into a high-threat area can park it in City Storage in Agora Alley, and now they have a second option: price it and sell it.

Gear trading isn’t entirely new ground for the project. When open world multiplayer went live, Wilder World described a player-to-player Bodega Market where gear changed hands for WILD or other onchain items. Its NFT marketplace, separately, takes trades in ETH and WILD, though an item has to be listed in WILD to be bought with WILD.

Where the game stands

The trading rollout follows game release 0.11.1, which put Packs Opening in the client. Packs open in-game through an onchain reveal, minting three NFTs, one each from Avatar Accessories, Weapons and Attachments, and Wheels Modifications. That release also touched combat, navigation, environments and driving.

Multiplayer arrived earlier this year and put players in the same space at the same time for the first time. It added Team Breach events that scale loot to squad size, Forum Agents holding major city intersections, voice chat and vehicle upgrades. A Steam launch is planned.

Wiami spans 10 districts and more than 100 neighborhoods, running on the studio’s Simulation OS stack: ZERO, the Z Chain zk layer 1, THE GRID and the AURA agent system. Wilder World went into Super Early Access in 2025 with a $100,000 tournament, and showed the FPS mode publicly for the first time at Gamescom on Aug. 20.

On Feb. 24, the studio began restructuring itself around an AI-first approach at every layer, a shift project lead n3o framed as necessary to stay at the front of the sector.

The token

WILD hasn’t tracked the development pace. About 479 million of a 500 million maximum supply is circulating, roughly 95.85% unlocked, and CoinMarketCap has listed the token near $0.017. That’s more than 99% below its November 2021 peak.

Which is one reason the Satin Passage prices gear in MILD. Whatever a Season Zero loadout is worth, it’s worth it inside Wiami.
