Fableborne’s competitive guild season starts Aug. 19, a week after Season 5 goes live

Fableborne’s Competitive Guild Season opens Aug. 19, a full week after Season 5 goes live Aug. 12, developer Pixion Games said.

The gap is deliberate. “The Competitive Guild Season begins August 19th, giving you a full week of play time to prepare,” the studio said in a post on X.

Registration is already running through the guilds portal at fableborne.com/guilds. Players can join an existing guild or create one and claim the leader slot. Guilds hold up to 50 players.

How the scoring works

Two currencies drive the competition. Guild Valor comes from participating in events and buys GG Chests in the in-game shop. Those chests pay out a randomized amount of Guild Glory, and Glory is the number that counts: it feeds both a player’s solo leaderboard rank and their guild’s total score.

There are two boards, solo and guild, with separate reward sets. That split gives smaller guilds a route to placing without out-spending a full 50-player roster. Individual payouts are divided relative to a player’s own Guild Glory, while every member of a top-ranking guild is paid on the guild board’s placement. Guild leaders take a portion of what their members earn.

The pool floats with spending

During the guild season, as much as 70% of Fableborne webshop revenue goes into the $POWER prize pool. Power Chests are excluded. The pool has no fixed starting figure and grows as players spend.

Season 4 is the only benchmark so far. Guilds debuted then, running a 17-day window from Dec. 8 to Dec. 24, and the pool finished at 1.66 million POWER. Season 4 itself ran through Jan. 5. Pixion hasn’t published a Season 5 target.

What Season 5 adds

Equipment arrives this season alongside Glyphs, the resource used to upgrade items. There are four Glyph types, and the loop is place, produce, upgrade: put one or more workers in your Kingdom, produce the Glyphs you need, then spend them on gear.

Item stats cover Health Regen, Movement Speed, Added Damage, Critical Damage and Damage Reduction. Each item opens up a different playstyle, according to Pixion.

Workers changed too. Every worker now carries a health bar, and its condition directly affects how much Glyph and Trophy production it delivers. Players pick up workers through campaign levels and quests, player level increases and Worker Shards.

Two Vanguard units join the roster. Guard is a durable melee fighter whose Guard Stance punishes mistimed attacks. Blob can’t be dropped with a single hit and breaks apart into smaller blobs when defeated, which forces players to think about timing and area damage. The Google Play listing also cites an all-new campaign and improved pre-raid planning.

Background

Fableborne is a free-to-play mobile ARPG and base builder from London studio Pixion Games, set in the Shatterlands. It moved to Ronin from Avalanche for Season 3.

Worldwide open beta opened Dec. 2 on the Season 4 build. The game has drawn more than 380,000 players and peaked at 108,000.

The $POWER token generation event ran Dec. 5 on Binance Alpha, with an airdrop claimable through Alpha Points. Of a 1 billion total supply, 210 million was circulating at launch. Staking Season 3 began July 23 at 2 p.m. UTC with 2,200,200 POWER in rewards, routed through the Fableborne Kingdoms NFT collection, which reserves 4% of total supply for rewards.

On the funding side, Bitkraft put another $3 million into Pixion’s Power protocol in March. Pixion has raised $12.4 million in total.

Guild recruitment has had money behind it before. Ahead of Season 4, Pixion ran a Guild Surge Program that paid accepted applicants as much as $25,000 and required at least 10 members plus prior guild management experience in a web2 or web3 game. Seven days before Season 5’s launch, the studio opened a Creator Affiliate Program handing creators 10% of what their referred players spend.
