Gods Unchained is set to release its Reckoning card set on October 13. This marks a significant shift as it’s the first set sold in NFT packs. Players can purchase various pack types—Booster, Premium, Shiny, and Mega Shiny—all delivered sealed, allowing for future trading or opening.
Reckoning introduces 87 packable cards across all six domains, including the Neutral domain. Notably, this set contains no Mythics. Players can buy packs via the same store platform, although the first pack opening requires a one-time wallet approval. If an opening is interrupted, the pack remains and can be opened later.
Incentives and variants
For the first time, a packable Legendary Promo will be available in the general pack pool. The release includes twelve one-of-one alternate-art versions of existing Legendary cards, with nine distributed through purchasable packs and three obtainable via Battle Pass, Sealed, and Conquest rewards. Gods Unchained assures players that all variants will eventually be obtainable, despite pack sales.
Beyond Reckoning, Battle Pass Season 19 will also commence on October 13, offering Anubian-themed cosmetics, emotes, and opportunities to earn $GODS tokens. Reckoning commons will drop from Battle Packs of Meteorite quality or higher.
Sales and pricing details
Reckoning pack sales are scheduled from October 13 to November 10. Booster packs are priced at $1.99 for six cards, primarily commons, with a chance for rares or better. Premium packs retail for $19.99, guaranteeing at least one Epic and one Legendary. Shiny packs are available for $199.99, while Mega Shiny packs cost $249.99, offering higher chances for top-tier cards.
Each tier has a different distribution for the nine pack-based variants. Additional cards tied to rewards, including The Thirsting Syphon and others, engage players in diverse ways.
Gods Unchained will also continue its Divine Tithings feature, offering discounts for burning existing cards. The Collector Pass is available for 300 $GODS, with the Whale Pass providing further benefits for 750 $GODS.
Season 19 extends over 28 days with 60 levels, allowing for daily XP gains.
“Pack-based variants can remain discoverable after the sale window ends,” a spokesperson noted.
