In Brief:

  • Farming Season (official site) added an AI farm assistant that players can hire to work their farms every few minutes, including while the game is closed.
  • The assistant harvests every ripe field and replants it, the team said in an X post. The post also lists feeding as one of its jobs.
  • The feature arrives during Season 1 on Robinhood Chain, where in-game spending feeds SEASON burns and the reward pool.

The assistant

Farming Season players can now hand their farms to an AI assistant.

“Your farm can now run itself,” the team wrote in a post on X from its @farmingseasonio account. “Meet the AI farm assistant in Farming Season. Hire it, and it gets to work on your farm right away, every few minutes, even while the game is closed.”

Read the post on X

Under the heading “What it does for you,” the post lists two jobs. The assistant “Harvests every ripe field and plants them again” and “Feeds your,” with the visible text cutting off there. The excerpt doesn’t give the full task list, the price of hiring the assistant or the currency it’s paid in.

The assistant doesn’t appear in the player guide at farmingseason.io/docs.

Why the timing matters

The rollout falls in the middle of Season 1. The team published the SEASON contract address at 16:00 UTC on Oct. 19 and opened Season 1 at 16:30 UTC the same day. Season 1 is listed as running through Nov. 3.

The team said the only official contract is 0xea0071a8778fa02c12378e88868255e0e0952be6. It also told players the address would be posted only on its own X account and that they should ignore any other “CA” in circulation.

Half of all in-game spending is burned and the other half goes to the reward pool. Game Vault fees, 3% on deposits and 5% on withdrawals, are split the same way. Burns settle on-chain about every 10 minutes.

That means an assistant replanting fields every few minutes runs on the same short loop the economy already uses.

Server-side play

The guide says the game runs on the team’s servers. Every harvest, purchase and battle result is checked there and never trusted from the browser.

The server already checks every harvest, which is what lets a hired assistant work a farm while the player’s browser is closed.

A third-party multi-account bot for the game is already posted on GitHub under the repository 7xTARXG/farmingseason. The official assistant gives players automation from inside the game itself.

Background

Farming Season is a pixel-art farming game on Robinhood Chain. Players build farms, plant crops, raise animals, fight in a Battle Arena and join clans. The team calls it the first RWA farming game on the chain.

Three buildings track real markets. The Mine produces gold and silver, the Oil Well pumps oil and the Farm Bank buys those goods at live prices from Chainlink price feeds on Robinhood Chain. Other buildings include Fields, the Coop, Sheep Pen, Barn, Pig Pen, Orchard, Silo and Fishing Pond.

Entry costs a one-time fee worth $1, paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain. Players can log in with any EVM wallet by signing a message, which costs nothing and sends no transaction.

Season 1 also runs a Daily Challenge in the Battle Arena: one 10-minute battle with a $0.10 entry, and the day’s top 10 farmers split the prize pot. A Creator Pool pays $500 a day, split in SEASON among the day’s top 100 creators. Each week, the top three clans share token prizes from the reward pool.

A Halloween shop with 13 decorations is open now.
