In Brief:

  • Yield Fields (official site) has switched on Deed Staking. Holders can stake a Deed, build a first Structure and start producing Fertilizer before farming opens.
  • Staking is optional, but only staked Deeds can build.
  • The game’s 3,333 Founding Deeds minted Oct. 13 on Robinhood Chain. The public Dutch auction closed at 0.999688 ETH.

Yield Fields has opened Deed Staking. Holders of its Founding Deeds can now stake, build a first Structure and begin producing Fertilizer ahead of the farming launch.

“Deed Staking is LIVE!” the team said in a post on X. “You can now stake your Deed, build your first Structure and start producing Fertilizer before farming begins.”

Here's everything you need to know

Staking doesn’t affect who can farm, but it does decide who can build. A Deed that isn’t staked can’t put up Structures.

Deeds as producers

The team has said anyone will be able to farm without owning a Deed. Deeds give holders land to build on and a separate resource loop.

Fertilizer is the first resource in that loop. It comes from Fert Decks, and farmers without Deeds will need it. The team has described Deed holders as producers inside the economy, not gatekeepers to it.

That means Deed holders who stake now can start building up Fertilizer before the farmers who’ll need it arrive.

Docs went up a day earlier

The team published a first version of its docs at yieldfields.fun/docs about a day before staking opened. They cover Founding Deeds, staking and the Fert Deck, and the team said at the time that Deed Staking would go live “very shortly.”

Mint and reveal

All 3,333 Founding Deeds minted on Robinhood Chain on Oct. 13, 2026, and the sale took about 30 seconds.

Guaranteed allowlist spots made up 2,445 of the Deeds, priced at 0.1 ETH each. The other 888 went to a public Dutch auction that settled at 0.999688 ETH.

Deeds revealed automatically on Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. UTC, and holders didn’t have to do anything. Each Deed now shows its plot, its archetype and a Fertility score.

Background

Yield Fields comes from the Onchain Heroes team. Its developer, Skarly, also built Wolf Game and Onchain Heroes, and the project’s community runs through the Onchain Heroes Discord.

There’s also a token called Yield Fields Strategy ($YFS). It’s an independent community project, and the Yield Fields team doesn’t run or endorse it.

The team summed up the new rule in one line: “Staking is optional, but only staked Deeds can build.”
