AFK Heroes players spent $53K and earned $14.3K in first 45 days, team says

AFK Heroes players spent $53,000 worth of AFKHERO inside the game over its first 45 days and earned $14,300 back, the team said in a recap posted to X.

In token terms that’s 1.36 billion AFKHERO burned through sinks against 370 million paid out to players. The gap runs close to four to one.

The recap is the first economy-wide accounting the team has released since a week-one report that covered a much shorter window.

Marketplace did most of the volume

Trading between players accounted for $48.06K, or 506 million AFKHERO, across 43,076 completed sales. Players created 391,858 listings over the same stretch, meaning roughly one in nine listings found a buyer.

Compare that with week one, when the team reported just over 10,100 item trades worth about 97.7 million AFKHERO, or roughly $14,900. Marketplace turnover has gone up more than fourfold in tokens since.

Where the numbers came from

AFK Heroes launched on Solana in June as a browser-playable voxel idle RPG. Players connect a Phantom or Solflare wallet, send a hero onto the map and accrue XP, gold, loot and AFKHERO while the tab is closed.

Season 2 went live Friday, July 24 after an early-access waitlist gated behind a Founder Pack capped at 500 units. It added guilds, crafting, tournaments, PvP, server-wide zone bosses and a Powerball feature.

The opening week drew more than 10,000 connected wallets and about 6,000 active players, the team said. Of those, 5,521 had leveled a hero, 6,177 were active across seven days and 3,946 within 24 hours, with concurrency peaking near 2,400. There were 5,305 paying users behind more than 23,000 economic transactions.

Deposits in that first week totaled 378.9 million AFKHERO against 126 million paid out, about 4.7 million a day combined. The team also reported 53.3 million AFKHERO burned and a contested reward pool holding 113.6 million tokens, then worth about $17,400.

It wasn’t clean. The team acknowledged security issues, withdrawal problems and sybil attacks during that first week.

Emissions went up, then got weighted

A rewards overhaul moved 50 million AFKHERO into the reward pool and lifted the daily emission rate from 5% to 20%, four times more tokens reaching active heroes. The same overhaul introduced Earning Boost, worth up to 80% in extra personal yield for completing tasks including token deposits, in-game spending and linking X and Discord accounts.

The team has separately promoted the strengthening of in-game gold, citing a move from 0.20 AFKHERO per 1,000 gold at the end of Season 1 to 1.60, an eightfold increase.

The token hasn’t followed

AFKHERO launched through pump.fun and graduated. About 944.84 million of a 1 billion total supply circulates, and the token has recently traded near $0.000065 for a market cap around $61,850. Its all-time high is $0.0005347 against an all-time low of $0.00004387.

Distribution is tight. The 10 largest wallets hold 72.11% of supply and the top 25 hold 84.19%, with available liquidity near $10.78K. Almost all volume runs through the AFKHERO/WSOL pair on PumpSwap.

The team publishes three wallet addresses covering the reward pool, the treasury and the burn address.

Payouts from that reward pool are no longer split evenly on participation alone. “Power Level has been added as an additional factor in reward pool distributions. All existing earning mechanics remain active, but now, stronger Heroes can receive a bigger share of the pool,” the team said.
