In Brief:
- Animoca Brands has paired its AIR identity layer and Minds agent platform with Reap and Pivota so AI agents can claim users’ earned benefits and buy within limits the user sets.
- AIR handles verified identity and entitlements, Pivota picks the merchant and runs the order, and Reap issues payment credentials limited to set merchants, amounts and time windows.
- The partners plan to start with a controlled demonstration involving a single merchant. They haven’t named a date or the merchant.
Animoca Brands said Oct. 8 that two of its products, the AIR identity platform and the Minds agentic AI platform, are partnering with payments company Reap and commerce startup Pivota. The goal is to let AI agents shop for verified users, claim the discounts and benefits those users have earned and stay within spending limits the users approved in advance.
The work starts small. The first release will be a controlled demonstration built on one merchant integration.
Agentic commerce requires more than product discovery and automated checkout. Businesses need a reliable way to verify who an AI agent represents, recognize the benefits a customer is entitled to, and ensure transactions remain within permissions defined by the user.

No merchant has been named. Nor has a date for the demonstration or for wider customer availability.
Proof without the personal data
AIR, which connects apps and AI agents to Moca Chain’s identity infrastructure, is the identity layer. Users can pass verified attributes and earned entitlements to a Minds agent selectively, without exposing the personal data behind them.
The agent can then use cryptographic proof that the user qualifies to claim an offer or access a service.
“AI agents should not have to interact with digital ecosystems as unverified entities,” said Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands. “By combining Minds’ persistent understanding of the user with AIR’s privacy-preserving identity and entitlement infrastructure, we are equipping agents to act with context, consent, and strict parameters.”
Moca Network put the case in a post on X. It said businesses need a reliable way to verify who an AI agent represents, recognize the benefits a customer is entitled to and keep transactions within permissions the user defined.
Scoped cards from Reap
Reap will issue cards and payment credentials tied to named merchants, set amounts and fixed time windows. It will also apply coupons and complete checkout.
“AI agents are quickly becoming a new kind of customer, but the payment layer hasn’t caught up. Most agents still can’t prove who they represent or what they’re allowed to spend,” said Daren Guo, co-founder of Reap.
Guo described the pilot as an early step toward agents getting the same offers and benefits a person gets when shopping directly.
The partners haven’t said which currency will fund the demonstration. They also haven’t said whether transactions will settle onchain.
Pivota picks where the order goes
Pivota is the merchant decision and order execution layer. It selects the product, merchant and transaction path using live pricing, availability and merchant capabilities. Then it sends the order through the merchant’s existing commerce stack.
The company said it never touches the flow of funds. Merchants remain the merchant of record.
Pivota indexes mid- to long-tail merchants and offers them to agents through a single API, the partners said. They also said merchants’ existing loyalty programs, eligibility rules and promotional offers should carry over into purchases led by Minds agents, with no changes to current storefront workflows.
What the demo covers
The single-merchant demonstration is meant to run the full transaction cycle. The agent presents cryptographic proof of eligibility, and Pivota selects the product, merchant and path. After that, an offer is applied, Reap issues a scoped payment credential and the transaction is authorized.
The partners
Animoca launched Minds in February as a persistent agent platform. Users access it through Telegram or email.
Reap, a stablecoin cards and payments company, is based in Hong Kong and has 300 employees worldwide. It processed billions in stablecoin-funded transaction flows in 2025. Pivota is based in Palo Alto.
The announcement follows the launch of Moca Chain’s mainnet at the end of September.
“Product discovery is only the first step in agentic commerce. The harder problem is determining where and how a transaction should actually be executed,” said Peng Xu, founder and CEO of Pivota.
