Gene odds calculator
The odds of your target parts, from the official 37.5, 9.375 and 3.125 percent gene rates.

This calculator turns the official Axie gene rates into the chance that a child gets the body parts you want. Tick where each parent carries a part and you get the odds per part, for all of them together and for every number in between. The rates come from the Sky Mavis Axie Breeding Guide; the Axies themselves are not looked up.
Where do the parents carry your part?
For each of the six body parts, tick the gene positions where a parent carries the part you want. A part counts as wanted as soon as you tick a gene for it; untick Want to leave one out.

How it works and where the numbers come from
For one body part, the child's dominant gene comes from one of the six genes of its parents. Each carrier position of the wanted part adds its rate, because the outcomes exclude each other.
chance for a part = sum of rates of the ticked positions (A and B)
rates: D 37.5%, R1 9.375%, R2 3.125%Parts are treated as independent, so the chance of all parts you want is the product, and the "how many" table combines the parts one by one. A part ticked on both parents at D alone gives 75%. This is the chance of the child's dominant gene; the genes it keeps as R1 and R2 are a separate draw that this tool does not cover. Anything the guide does not state, such as class effects, is not modelled. It is a planning aid, not a promise.

FAQ
What are the chances of passing on a gene?
A parent passes its dominant (D) gene with a 37.5% chance, its first recessive (R1) with 9.375% and its second recessive (R2) with 3.125%. Source: Sky Mavis Axie Breeding Guide.
Why does the tool show 75% for a part?
If both parents carry the part you want as their dominant gene, each adds 37.5%, which gives 75% that the child shows it.
Does it work out a whole Axie?
It combines the body parts you mark as wanted and treats them as independent, then shows the chance of all of them and the chance of each number of them.
What does it not cover?
It covers the dominant gene of each part. The recessive genes the child keeps, and anything the guide does not state, such as class effects, are not modelled.
