  • Azuki Labs announced Fractured Domains (AZK-02), the second set for Azuki TCG, releasing Nov. 20, 2026.
  • It follows Gates Awakened (AZK-01), the 148-card debut set that reached retail June 26 after more than $1 million in presale orders.
  • The release slots between the first Garden Arena regional season and the 2027 Azuki Invitational, part of a plan for four more sets over 18 months.

Azuki TCG has a second set. Fractured Domains, carrying the set code AZK-02, arrives Nov. 20, 2026, the official Azuki TCG account said in a post announcing the expansion.

No card count, pricing, presale window or product configuration came with the announcement. The main Azuki account amplified it with a single line: “On November 20, you will wield the power of two domains…”

The reveal follows a teaser posted about three weeks earlier that read only “Something new, coming in set 2…” Replies speculated the set would center on a deck built around the sisters Rei, who fights as Raizan, and Shao. Neither the teaser nor the announcement names them.

What set one established

Gates Awakened hit retail June 26 with 148 cards: four Leaders, four Gates, one IKZ resource card, one IKZ token, 54 commons, 33 uncommons, 22 rares, 12 super rares, 15 regular alternate arts and two portrait rare alternate arts as the chase.

Booster displays run $119.99 for 24 packs at 12 cards per pack, six boxes to a case. Four starter decks launched alongside at $12.99 each, led by Raizan on Lightning, Shao on Water, Bobu on Earth and Zero on Fire, each 63 cards with eight foils.

Presales cleared $1 million. Xu said the campaign hit every milestone with two days left, which meant all four exclusive promo cards went to every order placed. An earlier community pre-order on March 27 sold a randomly selected Shao or Raizan Alpha Starter Deck with booster packs and Alpha-stamped cards for $95 in ANIME.

Games run about 20 minutes. Players build a 50-card deck plus a Leader, a Gate and 10 IKZ cards, then try to drop the opposing Leader’s HP to zero across a two-row board split between the Alley and the Garden.

Competitive calendar

The November date lands after the game’s first regional season. Azuki TCG ran the inaugural Garden Arena Regional on Aug. 15 in Pasadena, California, hosted by CoreTCG, with $10,000 in cash prizing, stamped prize cards, Seasonal Points and 16 invitations to the 2027 Azuki Invitational. The event sold out. Format was eight rounds of best-of-one Swiss followed by three rounds of top cut.

Organized play has already needed a lever. Rushfire Gate was banned from official Azuki TCG events effective Aug. 18 at 12:01 a.m. PT.

A Midwest Regional is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, with date, venue, registration and prizing still to be announced.

Xu laid out the sequencing earlier, saying the plan was “regionals this fall, Set 2 later this year, and an invitational tournament in early 2027,” backed by a $100,000 organized play investment. Azuki Labs has said four more sets are planned across 18 months.

Cards aren’t the only thing shipping this quarter. Azuki Labs announced Sept. 8 that AZUKI, an original manga by former Overwatch character art director Arnold Tsang, premieres Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. PDT, free on Azuki.com, with new chapters on the third Thursday of each month. A cinematic trailer launches with chapter one.

The manga’s premise turns on the same Gates the card game is named for. When Shao’s sister Rei disappears beyond them, Shao’s search pulls her into a conflict threatening both worlds.

CGC has expanded its authentication, grading and encapsulation services to cover Azuki TCG cards.

Azuki first said it was making a trading card game on Feb. 12, 2025. “5 months ago I wrote about Azuki building a world before the story,” Xu said. “Since then Azuki TCG launched, 300+ players showed up for our first regional, and next month @steamboy33’s manga begins. Azuki is becoming a world you can play, read, collect, and make part of your identity.”
